Magnificent hotel good to enjoy with the family with areas for children with a separate pool just for them, the view is spectacular due to its gardens and the structure of the bungalows, the beach is heavenly. Fun was guaranteed because the entertainment was great from morning to night, the service staff was excellent and the employees were very friendly. I recommend the hotel without a doubt 100%. Yurian super men gracias Cuba
Pick a different one. Especially if you have family kids.

The resort looks nice as you are walking through. Internet worked good. However poorly maintained. Tennis courts and racquets and balls are terrible, kids center pool was almost empty, slides and water fall were not working. Table tennis racquet are in bad shape. One Foosball table was usable. The volleyball was torn and unusable. Advertised events throughout the day rarely ever happened. Saunas didn't work. Hot tub was not working. Stage never got used. Beach was never cleaned. Lunch menu was terrible all week and always ran out of food. Dining area has birds pooping on everything in the morning and it's never cleaned on the upper ceiling area. Upper shower head in room didn't work. Deck door was in bad condition and couldn't be locked. Beds are hard. Beer fridge was never restocked. Dinner and breakfast menu was always the same. Ala carte was available only twice for us and it was very low quality menu.
My review is Excellent Services.

I love the Resort. The Outlay of the property is beautifully landscape. The service was and is Excellent and the staffs are always willing and ready to help. I will definitely recommend it to my friends.
Honeymoon trip to Varadero

Our stay at the Peninsula was disappointing overall. The hotel grounds are undeniably beautiful, with a great variety of plants, palm trees, and well-designed outdoor areas that create a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was also friendly, polite, and willing to help, which we appreciated. However, the food quality was poor and clearly below the standard expected from a hotel of this category. Variety did not compensate for the lack of taste and consistency, and meals were one of the weakest parts of the experience. The room appeared partially renovated, but the renovation felt incomplete. Several details still required maintenance and finishing, giving the impression that the work was not fully done. In summary, while the property itself has potential and the staff tries their best, significant improvements are needed in food quality and room maintenance for the hotel to meet expectations.
Avoid at all costs

Do. Not. Go. Here. I have many things to say about this place, and I hope your main takeaway is that this place is NOT SAFE FOR TOURISTS. I have travelled to Cuba a handful of times, and this was my husbands first. I shared with him that it’s important to go with low expectations but that the people are usually delightful and it’s cool to leave the resort and see all the mint condition old cars. Upon arriving, we were not greeted with a drink (every time I had visited before, I was welcomed with a drink - whatever, not a big deal), and the front desk lady was dismissive and very rude. Since we arrived in the morning, they said our room would not be available until later (which is fine since they were storing our luggage in a storage room), HOWEVER, our friends had purchased liquor and champagne at the duty free, and when we went to collect our things it wasn’t where we left them (with our things in the storage room). Our friends confronted the staff at the front desk and they denied any knowledge of such bottles. But then another staff member came and pointed them out behind the lobby desk so we’re assuming the other employee meant to steal them. Our room was covered in mould that had just been painted over. We were incredibly congested from it. On our first night my husband was really looking forward to having a cigar and a glass of wine before dinner. He went to the lobby bar and requested a glass of wine. The staff gave him a wine list and told him to select one. He chose, and they said he had to buy the bottle. Weird, cause it’s an all inclusive resort, but okay, he agreed to pay with his credit card. They said no, only cash. So now we know they just want to pocket the money and it resulted in a shouting match. The staff said they were going to call security. My husband didn’t end up having his glass of wine, and so we went to dinner. At dinner time, one of the same staff who was behind the bar at the time of the whole wine issue was now putting napkins on the dinner tables. He came to bring one to our table and told my husband to “f**k off”. This is absolutely unacceptable on so many levels. In that moment I immediately felt unsafe on the resort. There were no live shows or performances and at no point was the discotek open on our resort. The snack bar was supposed to be open late and was closed by 9pm. Speaking of the snack bar, there were only ham and cheese sandwiches and fried plantains. At one point we saw staff eating French fries and requested some for ourselves and the staff said no, and that they don’t have any for us. And then a couple days later there was one afternoon (out of the entire week) that they had French fries available for us. Also, it was supposed to be a child friendly resort but dinner at the buffet started at 7pm. Not to mention we were the only people there with children, none of the a la carte restaurants were open, and the buffet was the same food every single day with minimal selection. A lot of the staff seemed miserable and like we were inconveniencing them which is unfortunate cause that’s not at all how I remembered Cuba before. Since we were able to recover the duty free liquor, my husband went to the bar and asked for a bottle of cola. The staff member said no. So my husband asked for 16 cups of cola and poured it into a bottle himself. We were constantly asked by staff to change our Canadian money from their Canadian tips. I’m not sure if this is a scam or legitimate but literally every single staff member who approached me asked where I was from and to trade money, and said their bank doesn’t accept Canadian change or ripped/damaged bills. I have a hard time believing any bank wouldn’t accept legal tender, and given the way they had treated us I had no trust in them at all. On the topic of money, we exchanged money for their currency and they wouldn’t accept it, and when we went to convert back to Canadian they would only give us 50% of what we had originally paid. Again, stealing our money. Now it gets REALLY REALLY BAD. For context, my husband is a 240lb man. He’s a big guy, and he can handle his liquor. I have never seen him black out, lose control, vomit, or be unable to walk on his own. Until this trip. We had gone with our friends off the resort because it was brutal there and we needed a change of scenery. We had a lovely bbq dinner and a great time. It was the Cuba I remembered. When we got back, our husbands went to have a drink together while we got our kids to bed. It was about 9/9:30pm. My husband agreed he’d be back by 11. When 11 rolled around I looked out our room door and he was asleep and snoring on the floor. I tried to wake him/move him and could not so I left the door a bit open so when he awoke, he could enter. I assumed he lost his key and didn’t want to wake our son up. 1:30am rolls around and my husband is vomiting black, couldn’t speak and couldn’t hold himself up. Thankfully an employee was bringing luggage to rooms for a late flight that had just arrived because he (and my husbands friend) helped me move him. It took two grown (large) men to get him into our room. The following morning my husband thought he was dying (literally). He could not move his legs or stand on his own and insisted he’d been poisoned. I believe my husband was drugged by a bartender in the lobby. He recalls leaving the lobby bar to come home and feeling like his last drink was off so he forced himself to throw up, by the time he reached the wellness centre (not far from the lobby) he blacked out. Somehow he managed to find our room. I have never seen my husband look scared before and he was terrified. Our friend helped get him in the shower to clean up, and I grabbed him food and a coconut for electrolytes. He slept the entire day. This is unlike him. We then realized he was missing $270 Canadian dollars. I’m assuming he was robbed, since the day before our friend had a similar experience and he too was missing $300. On our last night, my friends husband ordered a beer at the lobby bar, and the bartender poured a carbonated looking beer with some foam (my friend had no issues with that) and the bartender took the glass to the back room and came back with a beer without foam??? This was the day after the incident with my husband, and the same bartender. This is terrifying stuff. Moral of the story!! Don’t go here. It’s not safe for Canadians
