I would not recommend this place. It took me 4 days to get a towel in my room and I never got a new one after that. I lived off my beach towel. My a/c leaked and when i told the 6 customer service ppl about the leak it never got fixed and I didn't have a towel to clean it up with. The sheets never got changed. The room didn't really get clean the bug i killed the first night was still on the floor. The garbage can didn't have a bag in it. The food was the same all the time and the restaurants had the same food as the buffet. The 24 hour snack bar only had sandwiches and one day they didn't have any bread for a while. The main pool bar closes at 3 pm and the pool closes at 6 pm. You were lucky to get water in your room. When I used the outlet when i took my phone charger out of it the drywall/putty came out with it. When you tipped the bartenders at the main bar in the lobby they didn't really appreciate it. The people on check in are not good either. I was standing there and kept letting people bud in. You never could get a chair at the pool or the ocean and they didn't have any extra. I walked to the next resort and they had tons but the guy was like your in the wrong place. One of the buildings isn't being used you can see the toilets in one room on the second floor had a broken window. I know Cuba there is a shortage but this is stuff is easy to fix.

First time in Cuba . We were told to lower our expectations and we did but this resort was beyond low expectations. Very outdated hotel. Literally falling down around itself. Staff had no materials to do any repairs. Room safe broken , room door doesn’t lock, patio door doesn’t lock. Beds from the 1980’s , linens form the ‘ 70’s, Front desk staff were indifferent. They would rather catch up on their gossip than actually help you . As front line representatives of the hotel they should have done a better job. Food was mediocre at best. Plenty of shortages. Didn’t see beef once. Chicken is a mainstay. Salad bar looked delicious from 5 feet away but up close a stew of botulism. A La carts were laughable. Ran out of beer every day. Hope you like second shelf rum cause that’s about it for alcohol. No wine period during the day. Only served with dinner. Beach is beautiful but good luck getting a chair. Better chance of winning in Vegas. The pool was disgusting. I wouldn’t go it in, again good luck getting a chair. People smoking everywhere. We are non smokers and the smoking of cigarettes and cigars everywhere on the premises made us both ill. Staff would not address the issue of smoking in non smoking areas. I’m a firm believer in you get what you pay for. This trip was cheap. Good things ain’t cheap, and cheap things ain’t good. I would suggest another resort in Cuba besides this one. Too many issues for a relaxing vacation. We couldn’t wait to get home.
