Everything about here was amazing! food was great, staff were GREAT, plants were such a beauty to look at. our friend we met at the airport told us he took an early morning walk around 4-5 AM and the staff were busing cutting grass and leaves and planting flowers, etc. you really gotta appreciate the landscapers, they put in a lot of work into maintaining such a large space. everything about our stay was phenomenal! the only regret we had was not staying more nights LOL (that and the being harassed by beach vendors part. they honestly made us avoid the beach a lot. first day we kept getting harassed into buying thing. tip for you: just pretend you don’t hear them or pretend you don’t speak English). Rooms were nice. they provide you with the basics: shampoo and conditioner and lotion and soap btw so you only need to bring your toothbrush and tooth paste. we already rebooked our next Sandals vacation for this upcoming October 2023! so excited!
Here are some employees I want to recognize who made our stay even better:
Help is Needed regarding issue

I don't know what do it. It was my impression that an medical condition usually is understanding. I booked this resort and even AFTER asking about cats, were told that no cats; you might see one or two but NOT on the resort. I contacted my doctor who has to give me medical clearance for travel and was told that the resort actually is over populated with stray cats. We even have the chat conversations where staff stated yes lots of cats. I emailed, called, etc stating that due to a medical condition that I can't be around cats (Sent over my medical diagnosis as well) and still haven't heard from any management. At this point me being around cats will be detrimental. It was less than one hour I called back to either cancel or maybe have additional accommodations made and basically still waiting. I hate to have to write a review for a place I haven't visited yet, but I desperately need someone's help from the resort. I don't want to risk my life coming to a place I can't enjoy not because of the resort, but of something I can't not be around.

Not terrible but Not great either! Never a 5 star resort. It’s in need of some work to bring it from a 4 star at best.
- Food and Drink Selection
- Dickenson Bay
- Large Main Pool
- Proximity to Beach
- Old, needs work
- Attitude of 99% staff sucks
- Caribbean time is one fifth of normal speed.
- Plenty of eye rolling from staff
- No thanks, hello, smiles, just miserable
- Order food and drink at least 60 mins before you actually want it.
- Beach traders very annoying
- Inability of service team to act in a sensible manner to get anything done.
- Club level is a waste of money (Don’t)
- Spa team pushy and annoying. Constantly in your face.
- Hit and miss with replenishment of towels etc…
There’s better on the Island but if you want to enjoy your quiet adults only holiday with a bunch of drunk Americans every day at the pool then there’s no better place to go than Sandals Antigua.

We traveled to Antigua in mid February. We were supposed to go to Grenada this year but had to change our plans since they weren't open yet. Sandals was very accommodating offering two resort choices that we could pick from. We chose Antigua and were not disappointed. We had a Caribbean Grande Luxe Walkout Club Level room. This is in an older building, but the room was very nice and clean. The only downside we found was that there was no privacy from your neighbors when sitting outside. Met some great people, but if you are looking for seclusion this would not be the room for you. Great views of the beach and sunset. Beaches were nice and no issue with finding chairs on the beach or by the pools. The resort was at reduced capacity due to Covid, but we had no problems finding a spot during the day. The beaches do have many local vendors, but they are very polite and will take a simple "not interested". The first day is the worst and subsequent days they will simply greet you and move on knowing you are not interested. We went to the club concierge on the first day to make all of our dinner reservations for the week. We had no issues getting in. Our favorites this year were OK Corral and Kimonos. The majority of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There were a few working the bars and club concierge that were not, but we didn't let their sour disposition spoil our day. The areas where we were slightly disappointed were with the nightly entertainment and the photo session. The nightly entertainment was okay. The music was a little old for our liking - and we aren't spring chickens ourselves. We did book a photo session and were disappointed to find out that the photographer had another couple shooting with us. It made for a rather awkward experience and we missed some good sunset shots because it was their turn. We did get some great pictures, but we will be sure to clarify when booking this next time that the photographer only has one couple. These two things and the few poor service experiences held me to a 4 versus a full 5 star review.

We and another couple visited from Dec 26 thru Jan 2, 2023. Having visited many all-inclusive resorts before, we were not anticipating other than the usual average experience. What a surprise. Everything was outstanding. The dining choices were varied and the food was very, very good. Our accommodations were near the beach and compact. Not a lot of room, but nice. We had butler service and were treated like VIP guests. Nothing negative to say about our experience. Will definitely recommend this to friends and consider visiting again.
The New Years Eve show was excellent with many activities and great entertainment.
