We had the most amazing stay at Sandals Antigua and genuinely made some incredible memories. The resort itself is beautiful, the staff were welcoming, and the overall atmosphere made it a really special holiday for us. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked Sandals Saint Lucia for next year, which says a lot about our experience overall. That said, there are a few areas where we feel improvements could be made. Our room, while comfortable, did feel quite dated and could benefit from some refurbishment to match the high standards elsewhere in the resort. We also found that there was limited availability of sunbeds, particularly due to the butler service reserving many early on. This sometimes made it difficult to find a spot unless you were up very early, which isn’t ideal on a relaxing holiday. In addition, some of the pool games and activities felt quite heavily focused on American guests, which at times made it a little less inclusive for others, particularly those visiting from the UK. Finally, we noticed some restrictions on gym equipment usage times, and along with the issue of sunbed “hogging,” it did occasionally impact the overall experience. Despite these points, we truly had a fantastic holiday and are very much looking forward to our next trip. With a few tweaks, this resort could be absolutely perfect.

Spending 7 days at Sandals Grande Antigua was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, meeting Dillon, to the final song ‘leaving on a jet plane’ was welcoming and so very pleasant. All the restaurants provided us with delicious food and absolutely wonderful service. Entertainment Crew at the main pool were engaging while encouraging participation to all in their fun games/activities. The Wadadli Boat Cruise was phenomenal - the snorkeling crew were AMAZING!!! We were able to observe sting rays, held live conchs and sea urchins, and observed beautiful underwater life. The Café Girls at Cafe de Paris are welcoming and ready to prepare your favorites….with smiles!!! We are repeat visitors to Sandals and will definitely return to Grande Antigua.

1st Airport TSA was a disaster! We upgraded our stay but could not get ice in our room. We ended up eating a lot of room service due to the selections of food. Due to limited space for review, please be aware if an emergency arises, and it did, you have limited resources on excursions. Sandals excepts no responsibility! This is never an issues until it happens to you or a loved one.

Our 6th Sandals. Every one is better than the last. Chad & Teddy Bear at Kimono’s gave us a great meal, and fun. The dive team was fantastic. Hutchison & Everett did our training—great teachers. The whole dive team was amazing getting us out of the water (rough seas). Our butler team was fabulous. Jessica, Niesha, Julian & of course Wendell attended to our every whim. Our 1st butler experience was truly excellent. A great birthday week for me!!!!

This is an excellent resort with very friendly, pleasant and helpful staff throughout. We had an amazing time and a unique 3 week experience in the best possible way as my gift to my wife for her 70th birthday. We would highly recommend Sandals Grande Antigua Resort to friends, family and others who may be considering a Holiday to Antigua. We would especially like to mention Chef Claren who organised a very special anniversary meal in Eleanor's. Alexia who served us drinks while we were on the beach was brilliant, hard working and oh so friendly. We think he has the potential to go further. Also a special mention to Nurse Jannel who tended my minor knee scrape. The quality of the food and drinks options at all of the restaurants and bars were excellent. The grounds were top class. Well done to the gardening team. Excellent housekeeping and concierge service. Some guest may have thought the rooms were a bit dated, but we thought that it added alot of character to them. We thoroughly enjoyed tge White Night, Silent Disco and Caribbean Beach party evenings along with the snorkeling trips and swims in the beautiful sea. Thank you and well done to all of the staff throughout the Sandals Grande Antigua Resort.
