Bougainvillea has some standout positives but also a few areas that could use improvement, hence my 4 star review. The tropical grounds are absolutely beautiful — the gardens and pool area are very well maintained, and the beach is stunning with plenty of sunbeds available. It really does look as beautiful as the photos. The view from our balcony of the beach was spectacular too. Our room was spacious and kept spotlessly clean. We liked the range of complimentary water sports on offer and the gym was impressive as it had had plenty of equipment. The pool bar served a good selection of cocktails at reasonable prices, with a fab happy hour. On the downside, the service was somewhat inconsistent. While the bar, cleaning and security staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, the restaurant staff were a bit hit and miss. Unfortunately, we encountered a bartender and a waitress who came across as quite rude. Another minor issue was the limited number of sunbeds around the pool area — if you want a good spot, you’ll need to get up early to secure one.

A stellar experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, well-maintained, and looks exactly like the photos. From the great views to the friendly staff, every detail was perfect. The location is safe and ideally situated near beaches and restaurants. We’ll definitely be back!

We were in Barbados to celebrate our honeymoon and we absolutely enjoyed our stay here. The staff went above and beyond, pool bar was the place to be with daily happy hours and right on the beach. Rooms were spacious, clean and well facilitated. The bistro onsite serves lovely food but you can easily get to other places, like the gap, if you wanted somewhere else. Would definitely come back here.

Excellent stay with the family. Spacious rooms, excellent service, great beach and close to major activities!. Would definately visit again!

For what you pay for this, it’s not worth it as this hotel is not upscale at all. The beach access saved everything about it. The pool bar was lovely and the beach access was great but the restaurant and comfortability of the rooms were not worth the money. It did not feel luxurious at all for something that cost luxury pricing.
