Amazing!

If you like to dive this is the place. The new diving manager has a goal. Have major fun and spend time under water as much as you can. All dives are 60 min which is wonderful. The dive folks James, Marco, ET, Ruud and Denise are top notch. The resort is beautiful and the people are friendly. We are making this any annual trip.
Trade Off: Adequate accommodations/amenities for the good location.

Family of 4 for the second part of our vacation. The "resort" is not in good order, but it is in a wonderful location right on the water. You can literally dive from many points a few steps from your room, and the reef is really nice. In addition, you can make a short walk to town which is nice because parking in town is really really limited (and most rental cars are stick-shift, so parallel parking on the street when you are lucky to find something is not fun). From those positives, you have to decide what you can live with. The restaurant buffets are very low quality for the $20-30 per person price tag. Eating a buffet each morning for $100 for a family of 4 is just not the best way to spend vacation dollars...especially when the food is average. Do not expect your teenagers to eat much of it, which makes the expense that much more irritating. The pool was "murky" one day, and the sun decks seem to be ignored by the staff (for cleaning and service). This resort could make a killing if they knew what they had, but they do not... or at least, they cannot hire the right manager or support staff. Getting clean pool towels was a real challenge. Many mornings they were gone by 9am. Room was not cleaned 3 of the 5 days, and we ran out of toilet paper (a headache that should never come up during a vacation). Do not count on drink service at the pier or sundecks...in fact, we took our own cooler just because it was easier than having to walk away from the water (which is not smart when you have kids in the ocean). As for the dive shop and operation, Greg was wonderful and helpful. Its a good dive shop, with good equipment. There is also an air tank depot in the front parking lot which was VERY CONVENIENT. Load up the air tanks and go. The only real inconvenience with diving is that the cleaning tubs are on the south end of the property, and the dive shop is on the north. Multiple locations would be nice. As for the Casino...I do not understand why it even exists there. It is not a place you would want to spend anytime in, and it lacks any actual entertainment appeal compared to other casinos I have been to. Tough to say whether I would go back.
