Nice views of Banff.

Really lovely hotel with superb views from your room IF you get the right room , we got put into a room which looked directly into their parking lot and could not leave curtains open as guys were just looking at us from there. Went and complained and got moved to a far better viewed room ! Staff were really friendly and helpful, good few bars within the hotel . They give you a free bus pass which is helpful as be warned you are a 10 minute bus trip from the main town of Banff , bus picks you up from hotel and run every 15-30 minutes.

The overall feel inside was very nice, and the decor in the lobby was classic but not overdone. The room was nice and comfortable. The views are amazing, but some of the windows have lost their seals, and there is condensation inside them, so I understand the need to renovate. Again, the food on the premises is very good but a little costly, but I guess the cost to operate in the Rockies is significant. My one beef though is the music in the lobby and the sitting area and bar was so fricken loud that I could not sit and do some work on my computer and had to retreat into my room. I asked staff why, they didn't know and said the volume climbs until the days end. They reduced the volume for an hour or so but then back up to 7 or 8. I do not get it. I've been in Canmore and Victoria very recently, and I need to put some work time in. The lobby areas were great there, but not so much here. Way to shoot yourself in the foot, Rimrock.
