Overcrowded and poor guest service. As well, at night there are people trying to sell you stuff around the pool, and during the day, people walking around the beach with jewelery for sale.

We had a great time, second Christmas at this resort. Staff remembered us, which was great. So many great people that made our stay awesome. General Manager Ricardo, was always greeting guests, very pleasant. Luis food service menu, thanks for the treats in our room. Norma our maid, second year she was our Maid, thanks for taking such great care of our room. So many staff made us feel like family, Deisy, Alfredo, Vanilly, Patricia, Linda, Carmen, Gabreilla, Willem, Maria, Pepe, Fernando, Reuben. Very very nice hotel for the price point in Cancun. Don’t let the reviews stop you from going to this little hidden gem. The food was quite good and the service excellent. Shout out to Vanilli and Alberto in the buffet. Made every meal fantastic as requested their sections. The place was super clean and the resort was very well cleaned and maintained. It’s a little smaller then the ones I am used to going to in Playa Del Carmen area but deffinately did not disappoint. It was cute, cozy and we could always get a drink readily available and food was very good. The Italian restaurant was by far the best at This hotel. OMG the Bolognese sauce was incredible. Our group was small, but we loved it. Ask for rooms 407/507 if you want great balconies and ocean views. Snack bar being 24 hours was also great. Try Occidental Costa Cancun. You’ll find it will surprise you.

Great value for a family vacation. There were a lot of of activities for children. The pool was packed with children and adults. The food was average and there were plenty of options to choose from. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean from our front door, however the balcony view was of the backside of buildings and the parking garage.
