Hyatt Ziva was a great experience. I traveled with my husband and two daughters. The check in process was fast. We were assisted with our luggage and given a small tour of the facility along the way by the person that took our luggage. A big plus for us was having a room by the Dolphin swim area. Another great amenity is the amount of restaurant options and food stands they have along the resort. We were able to experience the restaurant Lorenzon's twice (our favorite), Chevi's, Tres Cervezas, breakfast buffet. All were excellent they had so many options to pick from. We also rented a cabana on our last day which was really nice because it included two coconut drinks, food dishes to be brought to the cabana, and a facial for two. The service at Hyatt Ziva is phenomenal. Everyone is so attentive and goes I do believe that is what made our stay great. I would say the only downside, and out of the resorts control, is there was lots sargassum at the time we went so were not able to experience the beautiful blue water alongside the beach. But we could see how hard the employees were working to get the sargassum out of the way. In conclusion this resort is awesome we our stay was better than what we could have imagined. So much so that we are planning to return in the near future.

why why why why the Doplhin tank!? such a terrible mixed messages to all the families and children that walk by and see this horrible treatment of such an intelligent, beautiful animal. It will ruin your stay

Hyatt Ziva is a beautiful resort with delicious food and a hospitable staff. However, I was disturbed by the six captive dolphins that live in a relatively small pool at the resort. Guests pay a lot of money to swim with the dolphins and it feels like animal abuse. I was also disturbed by the amount of plastic produced every day since the only water available to guests is in small plastic bottles. The resort should be able to either filter water or provide large gallons of reusable water jugs instead of single use plastic bottles. I won't go back because of these reasons.

Service was beyond excellent: friendly and speedy. Food ran the gamut from excellent to fair. Pools, lounges and towels: great. Nightly entertainment: very good. Kids Zone: excellent. Cleanliness: very good. Received excellent care and attention regarding food allergies. Now for areas that need some attention: they need to offer poolside food service with waiters. Straws would be nice, especially for kids trying to drink smoothies. No apology offered for room that smelled of fresh paint. Dinner at tapanaki restaurant was not as good as at neighboring hotel (Americana). I highly recommend this hotel!

Hyatt Ziva is the best all inclusive resort I have visited. You walk in as a guest and leave as a member of the family. The resort is beautifully maintained. The food is wonderful. The staff is second to none. They truly care about the guests and giving the best customer service is part of the Ziva culture. I would recommned this resort.
