This resort exceeded all of our expectations, both for my 3 children (11,8,5), and my wife & myself. I had done a lot of research and I knew this place checked a lot of boxes for us (location, family friendly, food quality, kids club) but it was all of the thing I was unsure about (service, food options, buffet, restaurants, coffee, extras, pools) that blew us away. The main thing that I didn't expect was all of the little things such as a churro cart, cotton candy, margarita cart, taco stands, poolside lunch options. It felt like they wanted you to have easy access to food/drinks, whereas many AIR's will create small barriers so that you get less. In all honesty I was underwhelmed when we first saw the kids club (just seeing the space), but left feeling like it will be a main reason we come back. It was the kids club staff that made it special. Our kids didn't want to leave kids club, which was a pleasant surprise. For a resort that doesn't have a formal theater, they did a great job with shows. We went every night and our kids loved the nightly entertainment. Lastly, the buffet! I hate buffets, and this buffet was AMAZING. So many options, so many GOOD options. For example, on brand with wanting you to have easy access to food, they had like 4 omelet stations, so there was never a line. My wife & I chose to eat our lunches & dinners outside of the buffet, but our kids begged to eat the buffet for all 3 meals. A major perk for me at this resort was not needing to make reservations, we walked up and sat down immediately every night (resort wasn't max capacity). I was bummed that the hibachi wasn't operational, and the "VIP Services" desk right outside of our room, so being politely bugged a lot are my only negatives. Other than that -- spectacular, we will be back, and will bring a group next time so they can experience this phenomenal resort.

Resort is very good and specially with young kids. If you have grown up kids and they need some more activities, I would say look somewhere else. Activities are very limited.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Ziva Cancun, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. The resort’s unique setting—surrounded by the ocean on two sides—offers stunning turquoise views, well-kept beaches, swimming options (sea or pool). The grounds and rooms are impeccably maintained and very clean. From dining options to daily poolside activities, everything was organized seamlessly to ensure a relaxing getaway. What made the experience truly memorable was the outstanding hospitality from the staff including from Manager Fransisco. Their attentiveness and dedication to exceptional customer service were evident throughout our trip. Manager Fransisco took the time to check in with us personally, handled every detail with genuine professionalism, and made sure our stay was amazing. Between the beautiful setting and the high standard of hospitality, Hyatt Ziva Cancun left a lasting impression. We will certainly be returning.

Great place for families! The food and amenities were excellent, and the customer service was truly above and beyond. The rooms were always clean, and we really appreciated having the fridge consistently stocked with water and drinks. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend it to other families!

The hotel and it's facilities exceeded our expectations. The entire property was/is maintained impeccably. Staff (whose numbers seemed to exceed the number of guests sometimes) were all professional, polite, and friendly. Our room was very well appointed and refreshed at least twice per day. This place really is family-oriented with an abundance of things for children to do throughout the property. There are many different restaurants ranging from beach front bars to high-end French cuisine. However, the quality of some foods went wanting but I believe that is due to the quality availability in the region. Presentations are over the top, but were often served luke warm at best sometimes. The only real negative was the "top tier" wine and liquor 'offerings.' The complimentary wines were nearly undrinkable and were clearly only sparingly offered (be persistent or go straight to the bar if your requests to the wait staff are ignored). Their "top tier" bourbon was Jim Beam ??. All brands of the good stuff are available but a hefty additional charge is applied. Surcharges for decent wines were astronomical compared to comparable retail prices in the US. Protip: splurge and rent a cabana by the beach or pool; we're glad we did. The sun can be brutal and shade is st a premium.
