Super Fun Stay!

We had the best time on our week long vacation! Mana, Ricardo, and Sylvia from the entertainment team were great. Also shoutout to Vanidy, Mateo, Giovanni, and Jose for the excellent service. We truly loved our stay here!

The animation team made our entire trip! They made sure every moment was lively and memorable. Faustino always stopped and checked on us and made sure we were enjoying ourselves and included us in his activities!

We are staying at Majestic elegance and the Mexican show Saturday was a lot of fun. Mana is the man, make sure to talk to him if you meet him.

100% for food and service

This is an unsolicited, honest review. The hotel is very clean, well organized and offers multiple options for food and pool areas. Food wise, everything was fresh, tasty and kept full. No reservations à la carte restaurant are a very nice. The service (waiters, housekeeping and bars) is top notch. The entertainment team, especially Estrella, has been great to our kids. She bonded quickly with them, arrived with a smile everyday and making sure our kids were happy. Thank you Estrella for your hard work and positive attitude, we hope to see you again on our next vacation. Only downside is how loud the music is for weddings parties. They blast the music at full volume, making it hard to get kids asleep.

Service in Decline

For context, this is our 4th consecutive time at this resort. Our stay was for 10 nights from May 3 to 13th. In previous years, we have enjoyed this resort, hence the return this year. Unfortunately we have seen a decline in service this year. We were staying in the adult section, elegance club and had requested a room in a specific building. We understand that specific rooms cannot be guaranteed but upon check in we were told that our request could not be accommodated for the entire time we were there, i.e., no check outs in that location. We found that difficult to believe so pursued with a higher up. We were changed to the preferred location within 2 days which was appreciated however, to be told initially an untruth, was disappointing. In previous years, a bottle of alcohol was provided in the room as well as a fruit basket. This year there was nothing. That is not a big thing, however, it was a sign that management and service had changed since previous stays. It would appear that the resort now prioritizes weddings and large groups over loyal guests. We saw very few of the same staff that had worked there in previous years and we were told by some that they had moved on given their lack of ability to make even the smallest decisions on their own. Inefficiencies created in the guest experience by everything having to be referred to top management and top management's response was always the same during the trip, i.e., thanks for the feedback to after the trip upon completion of the survey, i.e., again just thanks for the feedback received in a template form. Top shelf liquor was hard to find and in some bars no longer existed at all. Food quality this year was mediocre except at the steak house which remained excellent. Daytime activities were diminished although night entertainment was an improvement from previous years. Housekeeping and cleanliness was still awesome. At various times the smell of cannabis was intense so one can only assume the resort has overlooked its zero tolerance. Smoking was also seen on site. Three staff stood out to us and they were two bartenders, Martin and Victor at pool bars and our housekeeper, Gladis who had a permanent smile. We will look for another resort next time given the service decline, the resorts priority patronage to large groups, and the very unwelcoming welcome with no attention or care whatsoever paid to feedback by senior management.
