It was wonderful to be back “home”!!

We’ve stayed at the Zilara 15 times beginning in 2009 when it was the Royal in Cancun. While we were disappointed we weren’t able to stay last year because of the shutdown and reconstruction, the wait was worth it. While the new, reimagined physical facilities are beautiful, the best part of the Zilara experience remains unchanged - the heart of service that separates the Zilara staff from anywhere else. They are the best! Kudos to David, Daniela, Ligia, Humberto, and all the other service staff at the restaurants and cafes. A special thanks goes out to Montse and Job at the front desk who went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us in being able to spend most of our time at the Zilara even with the late opening. And Toni and I are very grateful for the kindness and care given us by Eduardo Rojas, the general manager of the hotel. We love our home in Mexico - the Hyatt Zilara, and look forward to our next reunion with our Mexico “family”.

Beautiful property! The renovation made the hotel very modern and clean-looking. Stayed on the 8th floor, on the corner, in an Oceanfront Luxury King Suite. The view was incredible! The jacuzzi on the balcony was a luxurious perk. Pool service was prompt and friendly. Great energy at the pool area. Our favorite eats included Bugambilia, Highlights, Pier 12, and the coffee shop for ice cream, smoothies, and iced coffee stops.

Incredible service, incredible food, and great atmosphere. Highlights Sports Bar was by far my favorite establishment at Zilara. Shout out to Abimael and Gerardo for taking care of us on “many” occasions during our stay. Never had to tell them my drink of choice. It was always waiting for me at the table! Again, superior service is what set apart the staff at Zilara Cancún.
Newly renovated but Not worth for the money spent

Hotel is new and beautiful. The hotel could not find our reservation and we spent 1 hour at the lobby. Beach has so much seaweed that it’s impossible to touch the water. They do not clean it. Food is ok. You can always find something to eat but not great. Drinks are artificial, nothing with real fruits. My husband had a birthday, which I notified the hotel prior to arrival but they did absolutely nothing to acknowledge it. Staff are nice and welcoming especially when you tip them pretty often. Will not return. There are better option for the money we spent
