Great and personalized service, great food, and wonderful staff! By the second day they know your name and often what you want without asking! All Palace resorts are great, but Cozumel is my new favorite! Shout out to Gabriel at pool snack bar Alan - pool snack bar, Jorge - pool snack bar, Enrique - Flamingo, Alexander - Flamingo, Marco - Flamingo, Reyes - lobby bar, Raul - lobby bar, Hanna - Turquesa, Jose- Turquesa, Hero - Turquesa, and many others!
Only a day trip from another Palace Resort
tinacR5644AQ (South Mills, North Carolina) on Sep 30, 2023
We visited Cozumel Palace only for the day as we were staying at Playacar Palace in Playa del Carmen for the week. Taking the ferry over was very easy. We walked from the Cozumel ferry terminal to the resort which is doable but, next time, I vote for a cab! Cozumel Palace is small but very nice. We met some nice people in the pool right away and got pointers for our already booked January, 2024 stay with a group of 10. There's a small man-made sandy beach where the scuba activities are which is where we set up camp. We like the fact there are already thatched umbrellas over loungers. We had breakfast once we got to Cozumel and the restaurant was a little hectic and food did not appear the same as at Playacar. Maybe it was just a bad day? Hoping for better when we're staying there in January. Had lunch at the pool bar and it was adequate. Ordered pizza which I thought would be a whole personal pan pizza but it was by the slice. Wasn't great pizza so I'd order something different next time. Everyone else in our group of 6 seemed satisfied with their meal. We asked for a courtesy room to change before the trek back to the dock for the 5:00 ferry. It was a very small but well appointed room on the front side of the building. We're researching things to do when we go in January, 2024 so none of our group will be bored.
