I recently stayed at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel and i was very pleased with everything about the hotel. The check was swift and efficient, I was even able to arrange for my daughters check in two days hence. My room was 579 and had a good view of the harbour though the weather was not cooperating. Room 579 was the room that had access to the lounge where smaller portions were offered from the same menu as the restaurant. Dont like the view from your room, well ya get what ya pay for, so when you show ventilation stacks in your comments, thats unfortunate you try to substantiate your disappoint with tactics like that. The room was clean, everything worked, thermostat was easy to control, the tv had a wide variety to choose from and the numerous staff i bumped into were friendly beyond belief. I went to the restaurant one evening after attending the Mooseheads hockey game and the Mexican Chicken soup was a treat and the steak sandwich was done to order. As for breakfast at the lounge, it is the same breakfast you order at the main restaurant....only you dont have to pay for it. As for convenience, there is indoor access to the casino, a short walk to just about anywhere downtown.

My stay at the Marriott Harbourfront in Halifax was mixed. While its location on the boardwalk and being attached to the casino were convenient, the overall experience fell short. The service and amenities did not meet expectations, and there are better options in the area. Unfortunately, I do not plan on returning in the future.

We just spent the weekend here and it was amazing. We were upgraded to water view and was beautiful. The staff are what make this place a step above. From the check in staff to the housecleaning, they were so accommodating and friendly. It may cost a little more than a lot of other hotels around but it is well worth it. We took the pedway to the casino and it was so convenient. You can park your car and enjoy everything with worring about parking. We never made it to the pool this trip but we will definitely be back and try it then. The little coffee shop in the lobby was amazing.

The dining room was closed and we were put in a smaller area with very uncomfortable seats. It was Christmas Day2023 and it was the worst Christmas dinner I have ever had. The turkey was tasteless and the vegetables were over cooked and the gravy had a strange taste. We had to request cranberry sauce and it was very tasteless when it was finally brought to us. We will not be back!

I was going to Halifax for business, and, given it was our anniversary, my wife joined me. Great (and reasonable) hotel, right on the boardwalk. Room was very clean, and the staff was super friendly (house keeping even left us an anniversary cake when we were out to celebrate!).
