Exceptional executive lounge

boymomdfw (Dallas, Texas) on Sep 02, 2024

This hotel was a perfect location. We enjoyed walking down the water with all the stores and activities. Our room was clean and comfortable. The concierge/executive lounge is one of the best we've ever visited. The food is high quality and delicious!

Very satisfactory experience

2worlddivers (Ormond Beach, Florida) on Aug 25, 2024

The service at this hotel was excellent from check in to check out. The hotel itself was spacious and luxurious as was our room. The concierge lounge which is only available to select guests was exceptional. Instead of the usual buffet, they offered tapas style dishes from a menu for breakfast and evening servings. Kim, our server in the lounge was very welcoming and attentive as were all the staff members we met.

Great location

CMUParent (Pleasantville) on Aug 25, 2024

This is a very large full service hotel so expect tour groups, conventions, and family groups to be among the guests. In no way is this a boutique or charming property. The best reason for choosing this Marriott is the lication. It is perfect.... on the Boardwalk , steps away from the Maritime Museum, COWS Ice Cream, and a short walk to an unlimited choice of restaurants ,shops and the Immigration Museum. The Citadel and the Art Museum are also close and walkable. Common areas are clean. I was surprised given the very public access to the lobby from the Boardwalk that there was NO apparent security in the elevators. I expected that this hotel would have required a room key tap in the elevator to access the floors. Rooms are clean, reasonably sized and furnished generically. Lots of charging ports. Bathrooms are nicely sized and there is good shower pressure and hot water. I give the hotel kudos for having a robe in the room. All if the staff we interacted with were friendly. Negatives....no safe in the room, and the bathroom door is a pocket door. Not as convenient as a conventional door. Avoid rooms directly above the large, noisy air conditioning compressor that serves the entire hotel. Also avoid rooms that overlook the indoor pool. Those rooms have no natural sunlight and can be noisy if children are playing in the pool.

Great hotel and location!

sadieh923 (Minneapolis, Minnesota) on Aug 23, 2024

Great room and location to the boardwalk and the Citadel! Staff was very helpful and recommended a restaurant we went to twice for their lobster chowder! (Bicycle Thief) Pretty area in back of the with many Adirondack chairs to read and look at the water and watch the boats go by. Highly recommend this hotel for the location.!

Lovely Waterfront Hotel

J6617AQmelanied (Newfoundland and Labrador) on Aug 18, 2024

Very well located hotel with good meeting rooms. Attended as part of a conference. Staff was excellent with the exception of terrible lunch service on the deck. The manager tried hard to make it right, however, so turned a negative into a positive.loved getting cold water bottles daily in the fridge. Room service was meh - boxed food with the dreaded wooden cutlery that passed on that wooden taste with every bite (remember Dixie Cups?). In a hotel like this, I expected dishes and regular cutlery. Rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. Location of the hotel was great. Check in and check out was seamless. Loved the ability to have Netflix on the TV. Another quibble was the timing of housekeeping. It varied hugely throughout the day from very early to very late. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.
