Be prepared for extra fees

dakodav642 on Feb 14, 2024

While the hotel rooms are acceptable the extra fees for parking and “ammenities” are obsurd. 50 usd for 24 hours of parking with vallet. And then a 45 usd charge for the wifi, fitness center, guest laundry, the sub par breakfast, and some of the slowest wifi ive had in hotels. I was charged 50 usd my second night for “parking” eventhough i did not have a car at the hotel. The 3rd night i was charged 58.46 usd for something the concierge couldnt identify and then was charged yet again the next night 97.18 usd for the same unidentifiable reason. For the 330 usd or more a night id expect more. Highly disapointed with the services rendered for the cost.

Our 11th Stay at the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk

JeromeSadler1944 (Marietta, Georgia) on Feb 03, 2024

My wife and I returned to the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk for the 11th time since 2011. This year was partially an early celebration of my 80th birthday, but we don’t need an excuse to come because this is our favorite hotel anywhere. We keep coming back primarily because of the service and the staff, but we like the location and believe that it is the best value for hotels in Waikiki Beach with the complimentary breakfast and evening reception. At check-in we were greeted warmly as usual by Jay who said Justyn Wee had alerted him that we would be arriving. Jay then upgraded us to a Premium Corner Oceanview Suite which was awesome. After settling in to our room, Justyn sent some “Suite Treats” of fruit trays and sparkling wine which we enjoyed over the next few days. Now for the service and staff: Each morning at breakfast we were greeted warmly and welcomed back by the staff who remembered us from our previous stays. We also met a few new faces this year to whom we quickly warmed. A quick shout out to all the hardworking breakfast staff including Aldrin Cary, Jay, Alma, Elona (also at the evening reception), Lorenzo (offered dinner recommendations) and Jordan. Thanks, also, to all the others who we do not know personally for their hard work. The evening reception was also great as usual with Keola, the best and most entertaining bartender anywhere, and his co-bartender Maile who is awesome also! They are a great team! Dennis and Lewis at the Pakini Bar were great also. Thanks also to Roy and Otto at the pool. Thanks also to Dean from the Bell Staff who stopped by to visit with us one evening at the reception after he got off work. He wasn't working when we checked in or checked out but it was great to visit with him. Lastly, a special thanks to our housekeeper, Crisfel, who greeted us with a smile each day and made sure that we had everything we needed for the room. She was awesome! Once again, we had a great stay and hope to do it again next year.

Not modern, but good location and family-friendly

Jeff K (Los Angeles, California) on Jan 27, 2024

The best part about this hotel is its location to Waikiki Beach. That said, the pool area doesn't really overlook the beach and you're not able to see the sunset from most of the hotel. Staff was very helpful in getting our rooms switched as there was some leaking going on in the balcony above. I wouldn't say this hotel is modern. The furniture is a bit outdated and there is a strong 90's vibe to the whole decor. But the buffet is pretty good and there are some perks for being a Hilton Diamond member like not having to wait in line during "happy hour" by the pool. One thing to note is that families tend to stay here so expect children. Like a lot.

Don’t get the rooms next to the elevator!

Did a bunch of research on nearby hotels and decided to go with Embassy Suites Waikiki. Some insights from my trip: Pick a good room. Not all rooms are created the same. If you're not happy about your room, request a new room. Breakfast was simple, at first I thought it was too basic. The beds are very comfortable.
