We were very excited to stay in Outrigger Waikiki Paradise Hotel due to its reviews on social media. This hotel would also be the last hotel we will be staying in for our 2 weeks trip in Hawaii before flying home. Front service staff we were extremely fortunate to be welcomed by Angie. She was lovely and amazing. So hospitable, warm and friendly. And it really seem like a great hotel to end our honeymoon trip. We booked the King size Waikiki view room. Room size was okay. Bed was a little soft. Pillows were a little small, but they gave extra. Unfortunately at the balcony, we can only see the pool and the carpark…. It was pretty disappointing but we were not going to let this little view ruin the end of trip. We didn’t bother to complain or get a room change as well. What really upsetted us was the housekeeping staff. We were informed that housekeeping will be done every other day. However, after our first night. We needed housekeeping on the 2nd day of our stay as we wanted thrash to be cleared. When we called housekeeping they said we can only get more towels and we were not allowed to do the full housekeeping? As housekeeping was only available every other day? Mind you, I wasn’t expecting housekeeping to change the linens or do a full cleaning. But we just needed them for the clearing of thrash, freshen up the room and perhaps towels. On the 3rd day of our stay (which is what housekeeping deems as every other day for them to work and also our 2nd last day of stay), THEY DID NOT MAKE THE ROOM OR HOUSEKEEP THE ROOM AS WELL?! Honestly at this point, we could not even be bothered to talk to housekeeping anymore. The staff attitude was so awful and rude on the phone. And clearly they were not happy to do their job and can’t even be bothered to do their job. We can live without housekeeping throughout our stay. It is fine. It’s just that the hotels policy to this “every other day housekeeping” is absolutely wild and ridiculous. I have never heard of such policies before, this is truly my first time dealing with horrible housekeeping staff and such rules. For the price we are paying, this certainly is not the most expensive hotel we’ve booked. Neither was this the cheapest hotel.

The location was crowded but absolutely beautiful & there was so much to do & see. The Outrigger hotel was great. A calm, quiet, & beautiful hotel with lovely & clean rooms to unwind in after a day of sightseeing & adventures.

Quality hotel in great location. Very friendly and helpful staff (special shout out to Angie at the front desk!), clean and comfortable. Our second stay and did not disappoint.

In the gym and DEO was extremely attentive. Had the gym looking spotless and all the weights where they were supposed to be. It truly made for a pleasant work out in paradise. Thank you DEO for your customer service and attentiveness! I’m Looking forward to my next time staying at the outrigger.

Our experience at this hotel was excellent. We enjoyed our clean and quiet room with a city view and a surprise partial ocean view from the penthouse. Our housekeeper, Sasha, restocked our supplies and kept the room tidy. At the front desk, Marilou, Jessica, Jenny and Jola were friendly and helpful and provided us with all the information we needed. The location, just a few minutes’ walk to the beach and with nearby restaurants, stores and entertainment, was incredible. We didn’t use the swimming pool as it was always busy. We didn’t miss it though, as the ocean water was wonderfully blue and warm throughout our 7-day stay. The only suggestion I would like to make is for the safety box location which was installed in a dark closet and very close to the ground (just a few inches). You will need good knees to be able to access it, and a light. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at Outrigger Paradise and we would, definitely, stay here again. Mahalo!
