Great location, fun vibes, extra fees expected

We picked Queen Kapiolani because it was a fairly inexpensive nightly rate and had many amenities on site. I loved getting coffee in the mornings from the coffee shop and hanging out in their little lounge area. In the mornings you can hear the animals at the zoo across the street. The rooms were really small but were clean. Definitely it needed some repairs but the bed was comfortable and the toiletries were amazing. The resort fee and valet fee were very expensive however, over $100 a night combined!
We look forward to our next visit

I honestly can’t believe how much of a steal this hotel is! Usually, when a place is this affordable, you expect to compromise on something but not here. The room was sparkling clean, and the view was jaw dropping I spent so much time just looking out the window. The staff are the heart of the place, though. They are so genuinely friendly and welcoming that it feels more like a boutique experience. If you’re looking for well friendly budget this is the place. Every morning I am always welcomed with a aloha by staff ??
Not Quite the Queen

The location is great. The hotel is old as are the rooms. Paid for an ocean view and got a glimps of the ocean and view of a mountain range, not Diamond Head. Not all receptionists were cordial.
