Great location and hotel!

Great stay! Nice open lobby and cafe area that felt very Hawaiian (vs stodgy hotel). Really appreciate the easy access to free beach towels and chairs each day. Loved the location by the beautiful park, and being out of the way (but super close and accessible to) the bustling Waikiki area. Highly recommend getting a room with a balcony, only for the fact that it gave us great windows and ability for fresh air (and turning off the A/C). Our balcony view was a city view, so nothing to write home about, but the fresh air was nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Happy for holiday , disappointed with pool

Well of course we were very disappointed in the pool renovation and not being told ahead of time. One of us were recovering from knee surgery and looking forward to rehabbing around pool. Theresa on reception was very helpful and Ming, our room attendant, was very thorough and happy to do her job. In the booking, we had mentioned it was our Anniversary but no recognition was made, but maybe that's the way it is. Very nice to have beach chairs and towels supplied.
