There Are Much Better Options Out There

We stayed here for a week with our 12 year old son. Hotel was an easy walk to the lagoon and beach, coffee shop was delicious for breakfast in the morning, and the views were fantastic. This is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it’s decent. HOWEVER, I will never stay here again. The pool attendants (except for the dark haired man who worked the afternoon shifts - he was so kind) are unbelievably rude to kids. Kids aren’t allowed floaties of any kind in the deep end of the pool, but adults are. No splashing of any kind - even by accident. No jumping - which is fair - but my son was doing a couple of in water summersaults and got in trouble even for that. An elderly gentleman pushed a child out of his way in the pool. The mother brought it to the pool attendants attention, and her response was “well, kids lie” - which resulted in a yelling match and HPD was almost called by the mother. I moved a lounge chair 3 feet to my right to be a little closer to my husband who was staying in the shade and the pool attendant came over and got upset with me about it and started to move my chair before I even had a chance to finish standing up. Overall, the hotel is fine if you don’t mind outdated amenities and beyond rude staff in sh environment that is supposed to be relaxing. There are a ton of places to stay in Honolulu that don’t make kids feel like nuisances. This isn’t one of them.
Old and outdated!!! Go elsewhere

Very old and outdated! Had a musty smell to the place. No fan in bathroom. Said we can only use one roll of toilet paper for five adults go 8days! Ac unit was very dirty. They had a broken oven, toaster and mixer. Not enough chairs in the kitchen for five people. The fold back couch didn’t fit two adults and the fold down chair bed was tipsy on each end! Definitely not a room for five like they said it was. The blankets for the extra beds were those little fleece afghans! They are not for sleeping with! The sheets were the cheap sweaty microfiber ones. None of the bathrooms towels matched. The patio only had two chairs and the were falling apart!! Not impressed at all!! Elevators and hallways were stuffy and hot! Gross!! Room 1201 on 12th floor
