Wish our stay had been more than 1 night

We booked a 1 night stay as a stopover from flying into Kelowna for a wedding a few days later in Penticton. Our original plan was to leave early to get some hiking in at our next destination. We were upgraded to a suite overlooking the water. Don’t know why but lucky us. The suite and view were so beautiful and comfortable that we decided to stay until the very last minute checkout at 11 am. Reading some of the other comments our experience was 5 star from check in to leaving. Helpful personable staff including suggestion where we could buy cut flowers to bring with us for friends we were seeing that evening. Suite was spotless. Very comfortable bed. Plush towels. Nespresso in kitchen. We will be staying there again for 1 night after the wedding weekend. Hopefully it will be the same experience with the room we have booked. Then again we might get lucky and be upgraded.
A dream location

Well this place is fabulous. The location is magical. Dinner was great. An experience. But,check in staff really did not know what they were doing. Indicative of a number of young inexperienced staff members. The bathroom was not that clean and upon complaining, I had a parking charge of $15 taken off the bill. That is not what should happen, management need to take charge and really ensure the guests feel cherished when something is wrong . Whilst i am being negative the staff member greeting guests at breakfast should of been taken off her duties. Sullen, miserable, frankly rude. The hotel was saved by the lovely girl who served breakfast, the wonderful senior waiter,Vincent ? and a very nice manager who I spoke to during the evening. Personally, I think the bedrooms are dated and need a refresh. But, it was a wonderful evening, food was great and the location to die for. In the morning a young staff member helped us find out how to open the fuel cap on the rental, he was a star. We stayed here as family had stayed years before and loved it. We will talk about the wonderful experience we had for a long time. Just sort out the small details please. We would love to return.

I came to Eldorado for a wedding , the staff were great and the food/restaurant and views were decent, the Maintenance of the place definitely needs work on the inside of the rooms and the pools also. Renting kayaks was the highlight of our stay.
A traditional spot for lunch!

We decided to stop in for luncheon at their restaurant, and enjoyed the atmosphere, selection and service. Sitting on the dock for lunch was absolutely lovely. A nice choice spot. I was sorry to see a huge high rise going up next door. I offer it takes away from the atmosphere of this lovely get-away.
Avoid ....

To be honest if I could have given it zero I would have. My friend booked for two nights at the end of my stay in Canada. We asked for an early check in and was told that would be ok and it was on their system. We then spent the next two days before arrival trying to book a table in the hotel for dinner but kept getting an answerphone and left messages. We called the night before arrival to check everything and were told all was good. We called before we arrived and told many different things but all amounted to we have no room ready. We decided to head over at 2pm at the agreed time as we had nowhere else to pass time at this point. We were told they forgot to prioritise the room but if we wait in reception they would get it done by 2.20pm. At 2.20 we were told there were dirty dishes causing a delay? At 2.30 we were told the aircon was broken and that they needed to find us a new room. We were then also told the room was ready but the supervisor was delayed in checking it? I asked to speak to the manager whilst all of this was going on to be told there was not one. We were eventually given a room and a woman came and said she would make sure it was all ok now as we had not had a good intro to the hotel. We go over to the 'Arm' building and she then changes her mind and gives us a business card and says if we have any issues call her and disappears. She handed us two drinks tokens as a good will gesture as she left. We get into the room to find a dirty, tired, and very basic room. This was not deluxe room at all and not worth what they were charging. I call down for Natasha to come see the room and reception say they would pass on the message. In the end I had to go down and find her myself. The long and the short was she said she knew the room was not worth the money and it was shabby at best but we don't have to stay there. Initially she said we had to forfeit that nights fee if we left. After much discussion she agreed to cancel our booking and let us leave. During this time it also transpired we did not have a booking in the restaurant we asked but their other one ? I would suggest before booking this hotel read the reviews on TripAdvisor. It's not a premium hotel at all. The only premium thing about it is the price. The staff are untrained and the hotel tired and grubby. Avoid at all costs!!
