Who turns over their pool to an evening nightclub?

BHfromNC on Jun 29, 2022

Have stayed at Cromwell previously in 2018. Had a great time and came back. What happened. To get to the pool in the daytime you have to submit yourself to search by the staff of the evening nightclub. The music being played at the pool is offensive rap music and played at levels you have to scream at the person next to you to be heard. guantanamo didn't treat prisoners of war this bad during the gulf war. Ceasars says you can go to the pools of Ceasars or the Flamingo. We went to flaminto and found 4 foot by 4 foot speakers at a higher decible level than at Cromell. Restaurants closed, gift shop closed, no cab stand to get a cab anywhere. Room staff excellent. Room great. Friday Night Hotel taken over by outsiders going to Club on Roof Top. I thought a hotel was for the use of the residents first!

All show, no go...

This hotel looks lovely on line, it looks like it will have "something" about it.. But is has NOTHING that the cheapest hotel would have, but with very expensive prices... The hotel is relatively smart, but there is no lobby, you are straight in to the gaming floor.. there is no experience, no theme, just gaming... there is no food to talk about, a very, very, very expensive coffee bar and an eatery on the upper floor. My main issue is the pool... The pool is NOT PART OF THE HOTEL... it is let out to a separate company. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it is chargeable.. The pool opens at 11.00am and is free entrance before 12.00, however, they had reached the comp level of entrances as soon as we arrived so we were asked to pay $280 dollars for our party of 5 to enter... We only wanted to swim for an hour or so before we went out... The pool turns in to a beach party and had Wiz Khalifa as a resident, so I am not surprised they charge, but it left me with no pool option. We were told to go to the Flamingo next door, again a booming pool party vibe, but packed and no room to enter.. We were then went to Caesars Palace to use their pool.. All a bit of a mooch to be honest. When you just want a swim or a cool down in the 112F heat, it is not great to be told wo walk 10 minutes down the strip to find a pool space in the Caesars group of hotels. The rooms are stylish and look smart, but the noise from the strip is a nuisance as is the noise from adjoining rooms. The resort fee here is a huge CON... What did I pay for? It certainly was not the use of a pool, or parking, as I had to pay for that... it was not the business center as there was not one... so what it is for? We had the choice of Cosmopolitan, Venetian, Caesars Palace and Luxor all less than 15% more expensive... All offering an experience, choices of places to eat, entertainment.. This place gives you none of that... Spend the extra and get what you want in Vegas, a bit of WOW and an experience.. OR, better still... stay in the Flamingo next door, it has lots to see and do, a big pool or two and is WAY CHEAPER than this place... part of the same group, so you can use all of the Caesars amenities. This place is like one of those nice boxes furniture shops sell, they look nice but are empty and a waste of money.

Great stay!

We recently stayed at the Cromwell, and the location is perfect. It’s in the midst of the strip, and conveniently, the casino floor is not large, therefore easy to navigate without getting lost- like in the larger ones. The casino does not smell like smoke, which is a great attention to detail! The room was cozy and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff was very pleasant- and there aren’t huge lines to check in or out, since it’s a smaller property. Everything you need is at the Cromwell, to include Giada’s. A DELICIOUS restaurant with an amazing view of the strip! This is a must-stay hotel! Does not disappoint!!

Enjoyed Our Stay

Just the right size property. We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable room. Felt safe as there was plenty of security. Will come back. Great location as The Cromwell is in the center of the "action". Hotel staff were attentive to our needs.

Name should be changed to DOWNHILL

Stayed here several years ago and had a very nice stay, so went back last week. It has deteriorated from elegant to skanky and dirty. To top that, they called our room late to ask if we found any shirts that a guy left when he asked to change rooms. No we didn't but later that night we learned why he had to move...several large party groups on our floor raised hell all night and left put in the elevator. As the pictures show the interior of the room was not much better. I don't know what happened, but I won't be back.
