Alvaro and Diego A++

Michelle A on Apr 16, 2026

Alvaro at the pool br was awesome! He mixes you drinks with a smile, creates some super drinks - very nice! Even though it wasn't his job, he called the front desk for towels when customers were talking to him about having no towels. He just wanted to make sure everyone was good. Diego at the front desk was like a camarade by the end of our stay! Taking care of us, greeting us - superb customer service. Food was great when we go there, but by mid week of our stay (weekend) we noticed steaks not being cooked accordingly (almost blue in our plates), fish tacos barely had any fish in them... The buffalo burger was stale the second time around. The evening a la carte were VERY good! We only had the choices of either Italian or Asian. Best butter chicken ive had at the Asian! Construction happening next door is a little annoying, but we just hung out at the beach until we were up for some mingling at the pool bar.

Good times Going Off Season

Anna L on Apr 14, 2026

Location: It's a bit isolated from other towns but you can take a walk to Samara for the day. Atmosphere: The design of the resort is amazing with all of the water features and open air areas. Rooms: The rooms are really nice but since I was travelling with a friend, the open washroom concept did not work well for us and our AC was not fully working. But the room was pretty and clean. We had cleaning services every day and if you ask, they will restock the fridge. Value: I feel I really got my moneys worth. The food was great and the was so much variety. The staff were so friendly and very helpful, they really want you to enjoy yourself and drink lots....LOL. Shout out to Alonso, Luis, Diego, Aluaro and Mario (driver)!!! Since we went during a time they consider 'off season' we had amazing service and didn't have to wait for anything. The only challenge was trying to get lounge seats, so just get up early and put a towel on one. The pool was mostly empty and we didn't have deal with any hustle and bustle. It was very relaxing, quiet and tranquil. P.S. The blue bird is always there for breakfast at 7:30am sharp and ready for a treat!

This place needs help

AngelPhillips1960 (Orlando, Florida) on Apr 11, 2026

Whew! Where do I start? We were bored out of minds here!!! Outside of paying for outside excursions there is absolutely NOTHING to do here. And I mean NOTHINGGGGG. No shuffle board, no ping pong, no pool table, no game room, no DJ, no dancing, ZERO activities, super sleepy spa type of relaxation music throughout the grounds. I was completely baffled. Just drinking, eating, laying by the pool and sleeping, that's it! If you're a senior and want nothing to do this is your place. I travel a lot and this was by far the worse vacation of my life. And it's a shame because the beach itself is absolutely STUNNING! But the resort is run down in certain areas and is in need of an upgrade. There are some parts that are fine and others that are of ill repair. Our room was very clean and roomy upon our check in until I peeled back the sheets and found a HUGE DISGUSTING stain on my mattress!!! I had slept on that filth for 2 nights not knowing it was there! I wanted to throw up! I pitched an absolute fit to consierge!!! They did come in and clean and sterile the entire mattress which I appreciate but I couldn't unsee those stains and it grossed me out ALL DAY LONG. You can tell that this was probably a really lovely resort when it was first built but there are many things that have gone awray. Mildewy ceilings, rusted beams, broken and faded outdoor furniture. The breakfast buffet was very nice especially the omelet station. The Italian restaurant was delicious! My husband LOVED the food there although they do have a problem with the temperatures. Salads should never be room temperature and there was no offering of bread. I've never seen an Italian restaurant that didn't have bread or bread sticks but the pasta carbonara was wonderful! The Asian restaurant was also VERY good! This resort has the potential to be great again but whoever is managing this place has dropped the ball. On a good note, the staff is PHENOMENAL! I absolutely love EVERY PERSON I came in contact with. They saved the day. If it weren't for them I probably would have gone home early. BRAINER, LORENZO and JAY just to name a few made our stay more enjoyable. BRAINER is the BEST bartender ever! His mixology was ALWAYS consistent and his attitude and personality was always welcoming. We LOVED HIM THE MOST! Would I come back to this resort? Probably not but I'll never say never if they make some serious changes.
