Best time ever in Costa Rica !!!! With David my boy !!!

My wife and I came to Azura to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We had never been to CR so thought this was a great time to see it. We have already decided to go back. We would also go back to Azura resort. From the time we checked in the staff was fantastic. I enquired about changing rooms from 2 Queen beds to 1 king bed and within 2 hours it was done. I worked with Larry and Wendy to surprise my wife with a romantic dinner. Wendy was able to get us into the private club for the entire day and supper at no charge!! Then decorated our bed to help us celebrate. Thank you both Larry and Wendy (the concierge) There were a few bumps in the 10 days but the staff was always eager to help. Our AC worked great just regularly dumped water out onto the floor. Seriously this just became funny and had towels on hand to clean it up. The staff from the morning wait staff, bartenders (sorry I didn’t grab names) to the great housekeeper that every night left chocolate on our door. He was the nicest guy!! Just wanted to squeeze him. We will be back soon!! Thank you everyone!

Staff was very friendly. Yeison at the pool bar was an amazing chef, food was delicious. Bartenders and wait staff were amazing.

Hello from Azura Beach Resort! This resort is unique, modern and lowkey. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and are fantastic at checking in through out the day. Aluaro and Jeison at the pool bar make fantastic drinks and food. It’s always fresh and fast. Alonso at “Chill n’ Grill” is super kind and efficient. He is a joy to get to know . . . he always has a smile. Would definitely recommend coming here as our experience was great. Even as 19 year olds, we still found it to be a joyful trip.

Our rating was due to the resort advertising a Luxury/Premium resort. That sets an expectation they did not live up to, however we did understand more from other Trip Advisor reviews. This review is simply to provide others with information and not intended to be unfair to the resort. The location is a 2 hour drive from Liberia airport which is not a bad drove. The resort is very well positioned on a nice beach and is well designed with a very nice pool, 4 restaurants, more small and intimate which is nice. We didn’t mind that the place basically shuts down at 10pm. There is virtually no recreational equipment such as kayaks, water boards, etc like real luxury resorts. The beach is public which we liked as it brought life to the area- great to take long walks as sand is more compact and comfortable for walking- you will see motorcycles, trucks, horses, dogs etc using the beach but it still feels clean and wide open. The resort while very nice architecturally, it really needs some attention. A number of things are either broken or in disrepair. All tolerable however doors in public washrooms should be lockable. Nothing to deter a visit but set expectations. Housekeep should be elevated. Bed sheets are old and you will find stains. We stayed 9 nights and sheets never changed. Fully stocked min bar means 2 beers, 2 ginger-ale, 2 coke and 2 fruit drink. Only replaced if you ask. Towels never replaced unless asked. Never had an issue with beach or pool chairs as place didn’t seem full but beach towels are a hot commodity and often had to wait even first thing in am. Staff mostly nice and can be friendly. Good overall 6/10 for food with breakfast being weak. Again if you don’t think luxury/premium you will be fine. Overall we enjoyed our time as we quickly started thinking this in terms other than as advertised. Read a comment on the rooms bathroom configuration and agree there is no real privacy so if you are with a friend or a new couple it may not give you the privacy you would like- not an issue for us. This place could be incredible if just a little attention
