Beautiful hotel, the staff were beyond friendly - especially Alonso. 3 good dinner restaurants, lovely pool. And the beach - wow! Loved walking to Samara

My husband and I stayed at Azura Beach Resort from August 3–6, and we truly had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, but there were two people in particular who made our stay extra special. Alonso at Grill & Chill by the pool was fantastic! He consistently provided exceptional service and always did it with a genuine smile. He was warm, attentive, friendly, and made us feel incredibly welcome. It’s amazing how much great service can add to a vacation, and Alonso definitely added to ours. Wendy was another absolute standout. She helped us book our excursions, assisted us with dining throughout the resort, and became someone we knew we could turn to for recommendations. Her knowledge of Costa Rica was invaluable. Since we only had a few days, she helped us figure out the best things to do so we could maximize our time and really experience the country. Her recommendations and perspective made such a difference. What impressed us most was how genuine the hospitality felt. It wasn’t simply good customer service — we felt welcomed, cared for, and appreciated as guests. We left Azura Beach Resort with wonderful memories and would absolutely return. Beautiful surroundings are important, but it’s the people who can truly make a vacation unforgettable. Alonso and Wendy did exactly that for us. Thank you for an amazing stay. Although the resort is about two hours from the airport, it’s in a gated, secluded location that makes for a peaceful getaway. We booked our shuttle before arriving, and our driver was waiting for us with a sign displaying our name. He was very kind and welcoming, which made our arrival stress-free. Our room was clean and had a beautiful view. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome. The A/C went out on our last day, but it was repaired immediately, which we really appreciated. The drinks were great, and while the food was average, the restaurants themselves were beautiful and provided a nice dining experience. We also did the Adrenaline Tour, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! It was so much fun and full of adventure. Be prepared to stay active and get very wet, but it’s absolutely worth it. From the exciting activities to the beautiful scenery, it made for an unforgettable experience. Thank you for making our first Costa Rica visit one to remember! We can’t wait to come back. ??
