We had a lovely stay at Villas Sol. At first I was concerned with the reports of the shuttle to the beach, and being situated on a hill, as I have some mobility concerns, but there was no problem. We stayed in the hotel section, and the shuttle picked us up and dropped us off almost outside our door. It runs very regularly, so there was never a long wait. Despite there being relatively few beach chairs for the size of the resort, the most we had to wait for a chair was about 20 minutes. The trees made for lovely shade, and it is a beautiful beach without a big drop off getting into the water. We opted for breakfast included, and then could choose from other restaurants, or the snack bar, or purchase the buffet, or order from the a la carte menu in the restaurant. The open dining room was lovely for breakfast, and we ate most meals on the outside patio beside the restaurant. The service was friendly and fantastic from every staff member we encountered. The room was the most disappointing aspect of our stay. For example, none of the plugs near our beds worked. One of the overhead lights over the bed didn't turn off (it dimmed, but did not turn right off). But we did not want to stay in our room much, so it was a minor inconvenience. The sunset views from the balcony were spectacular. One big flag: We had initially booked (and paid for) two rooms, and later cancelled one. We received a confirmation email for the cancellation, but did not receive a refund. Despite emailing several times, and calling twice and being assured we would receive the refund within a week, it never arrived. We only managed to get it by being there in person, standing at the front desk, and presenting all of the information (two months after cancelling).

Excellent stay at the hotel. Amazing view to the ocean from the hotel. Very good the cleanliness and nice, kind staff.

We went to Villa sol for our spring break, the views are breaktaking. We stayed at a premium ocean villa, its in high need of maintenance with minimal decor (63-1). And no toiletries except for hand soap. The buffet was not bad but needs more variety for children. We did end up moving to the Waldorf where it was an excellent property.

Absolutely the worst meal experience I have experienced , this refers to their meal plan Every day same offerings, limited choice, poor quality , I will say that staff were very friendly and helpful.

Resort is just so-so. Food isnt great. Not many drink options. Shuttle was good though. The beach is average - its nice that its on the end of the beach. The resort photographers are scammers - be cautious about spending too much money on those pictures - you may not be able to download them. You are treated very differently depending on what type of guest you are - condo users vs all inclusive vs not inclusive etc. The only pool with shade was closed all week for us - which made the only other tiny pool packed with people and nowhere to sit. Only one restaurant option.
