Bathroom flood
ifried (Baltimore, Maryland) on Mar 02, 2026
We were given a room with a defective toilet. Upon entering our room to prepare for dinner, we encountered an inch of water on the bathroom floor that was beginning to flow into the hallway. We called maintenance and were told it would be taken care of. Returned from dinner and still not taken care of. We were moved to another room and requested a reimbursement for our inconvenience. However, nothing was done about our request.

Food and drinks were great....tour of coffee waterfall and nature was fun!
Great views, amenities, and service!

The resort was situated on the beach with lovely views. I could view a remarkable sunset every evening on the patio surrounding the pool with a happy hour drink to enjoy. The pool was large and provided plenty of lounge chairs and a few cabanas. The entire facility was large but it contained several more cozy restaurants with excellent food. I would recommend making a reservation. However, the central bar also served food from each restaurant. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this resort again.
No hot water for showers

The rooms were fine. Basic but clean. The hotel is not on the beach. It is on a hill and a good walk to the beach. There is a shuttle. Try to get a room on the lower levels as the walk uphill if you are at the top level is difficult. Biggest disappointment was that there was no hot water for showers for our entire stay, despite being told it would be repaired. We later learned from others that they did not have hot water either. We had al a carte breakfast at the restaurant on site which was very good.
I would recommend my ex wife come here

This place is awful. Amenities are few and far between - most of which do not work. The shuttle service is pretty much “whenever I want to take you there if I feel like it we might get close.” There is no consistency or schedule. The TV in the living room won’t even turn on. Not a huge deal because the one in the bedroom works and we didn’t use it often but having it at all would’ve been nice if we had the kids. The beach is an absolute nightmare. The resort has about 25 or so chairs, of which only about 19 are functional. The garbage is pretty alarming, it’s not well cared for. The rocks and walls and ledges are all full of plastic bottles and other trash. We stayed in one of the villas and the resident across from us (permanent resident), who has a private parking pad - parked his vehicle in the lot next to us which was shared by the other 3 villas we stayed in so we had to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up which was steep enough to be prohibitive. Wouldn’t have been a problem if there was any semblance of organization with the shuttles but it prevented us from leaving at certain times to risk losing our parking spot. This is a perfect resort if you come here and have no plans, bring your own chairs, or use it as a place to keep your stuff only. If you plan for excursions or events and are on a schedule, or if you’re looking for a cushy, Costa Rican resort experience, you’re cooked.
