We had a fantastic experience at this resort. The setting is stunning, with two lovely coves that offer completely different views and places to relax. We were impressed with the quality of the meals and drinks throughout our stay, and our room was always clean and well-maintained. Because the property is built across several hills, using the shuttle is necessary in many areas, unless you happen to be near the main facilities. Overall, the scenery and ocean views make this place truly memorable. At the hotel they recommended NextTripcr.com for outdoor activities, so we reached out to Chris and booking with him was incredibly easy. He was always quick to respond and very helpful. We did the Leona Waterfall Hike, visited the rainforest, and arranged our airport transfers, all without any issues. We highly recommend this resort and the services they suggested. We’re already planning to come back next year. Pura vida.

We loved this lush resort. It was beautiful, the staff really went above & beyond. There was a lot of walking but we needed it! We did book preferred, & were disappointed in the fact if you wanted top shelf liquors you had to go all the way to the preferred lounge, they were not at the bars around the pools. Kenyuin “Kenny”, Marisa, Marisol were the best! We loved the pool games. I wish there were more and less loud music. We played volleyball, ping-pong, & basketball. There were no premium liquors in our room. Room service is not very good. The food was just OK. That is why the resort gets a 4 star. The buffets had a lot of the same things on them daily. The lunch selection was not good. Also, you are told they have free cabanas (since you are preferred) but you have to call every morning at 7 AM the day before to see if you can get one. They don’t tell you that the vacation club members can book the cabana before arrival. There is maybe 10 cabanas so they are very hard to reserve. Kenny was able to get us one, because my husband persisted. He was one of the best workers there. The bathroom toilets by the pool were broken the whole week we were there, only 2 worked out of 5, they were trying to fix it for multiple days, but was never fixed. Entertainment was just OK. I would stay at this resort again. I thought it was beautiful, but they need to upgrade their food/menu and upgrade the rooms a bit, especially for the price.

Food quality was not great, except for the Italian restaurant. We needed to ask repeatedly for drink refills at all meals. Finding lounge chairs was a crazy game! The beach was beautiful and we actually enjoyed all the walking around the resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay minus the food. Staff was wonderful, drinks were good at some bars but not so much at others. Scenery was beautiful but all of the meat of any kind was significantly over cooked sad to say.

The location is great. Our room was clean upon checkin with a beautiful view of the bay. Checkin was quick and easy. The staff were kind and friendly. The noise level where our room was located was quiet and peaceful. Food was delicious, especially the breakfast bar at the Market Place Cafe. Service at the places where we ate were good. We ate at the Italian and Seaside Grill. The pools were great at both places (relaxation and main). We did have to 'hunt' for a shaded lounges but for the most part the other guests were kind enough to share their umbrellas. I've heard rumors that other guests who have been there before reserved the cabanas before arriving for their stay. We didn't do any of the affiliated amstar tours but we did do the excursions with the companies that were there by the resort (another great review). We loved the swim up bar at the main pool. Fernando did a great job serving drinks. Kelyse who was new and still learning did a great job catering to our needs and always asked us if we needed anything. I wish I could remember the name of the driver who took us to our room the first night cause he used his card key to unlock our room since ours didn't work and he offered to wait after we went back to get the card keys activated. We absolutely loved the fact the resort was adult only. The value of the all inclusive resort is great. We did one of the little hikes around the resort. They do bus people around the resort alot. If you want to walk from one place to another you have to share the road with the vans. The place is walkable but just no sidewalks. Be prepared to hike up and down which was no issue for us but just fair warning to those who are not physically active.
