Honest review of Grand Velas after going to like 5 different brands of all inclusive resorts across mexico, DR and Jamaica (paradisus, garza blanca, hyatt ziva, finest, grand velas) the past few years. It was lovely, but was not 40% better than Garza Blanca for 40% higher charge. I like Garza better for the price. Concierge team pre booking- confused a lot of items, restaurants had to be held via email v. booking tool (in 2026), and generally was slow. On arrival, Daniel was great, and helped us a lot. Have to say, he went above and beyond. Babysitting- good quality but before meeting a sitter, I would prefer to have a name and number given to me. I was often chasing around finding them. Food- tasty. Cocina was fun. Food was not extensively better than Garza which was excellent. Drinks- same well drinks as anywhere, pay for nicer quality- at this price, I expected more. I could not even drink the sweet and cheap prosecco. Rooms- they boast big rooms. fine- but limited suites or what they call suites are actually sometimes just adjoining rooms. At garza I had an amazing 2 bedroom suite with kitchen and laundry, and living space. plus 2 bathrooms at min. Pool service- staff was overwhelmed by spring breakers, which they should have planned for. I imagine upstaffing could help the experience. Also consider a remote ordering system for drinks, servers can still make their tips. Fitness- I did yoga almost every day, loved it with epic views. The gym was nice too. Kids club- also good, had great options and food for kids if needed. Coffee shop was a great treat, snd breakfast tasty. All in all, a fun week but not worth the higher price tag.

We had a wonderful time at Grand Velas. We saw so many whales from the pool it was amazing. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Our concierge Ana took great care of us. The food and drinks were great. We will definitely be back.

It was our first time in Cabo and we chose grand Velas. Thank God we did. The people. The weather. The rooms. The food and the service were top tier. They are so accommodating. They really care about the guests. Gianni was our butler and’s he was so attentive. He was so kind. Thank you Gianni. Food was superb even at the pool. Restaurants were also amazing especially the Michelin star one (forgot the name sorry). We chose to do the extra menu and it was a great choice. We had the two floor family suite and it was amazing. The space was so good for us especially with the crib upstairs and is downstairs. Housekeeping was even on it. Just amazing!! Also, Elena Salazar and her co worker at the 3rd pool up ( male , also forgetting , sorry) were amazing. Every day. They were so kind and cared so much. Honestly haven’t been to a Mexican resort where the workers stop to say hi every time you pass by in a very long time and we’ve been to a lot. Thank you to all!! We will def be back soon.

Grand Velas Los Cabos was an absolute dream. Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable and we were warmly greeted by the staff. The property itself is stunning, with breathtaking ocean views, beautifully designed spaces, and an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The suites were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed, with every detail carefully considered. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and enjoying our coffee from Amat on the private balcony while watching the sunrise quickly became one of our favorite daily routines. The dining experience truly exceeded our expectations. Each restaurant offered something unique, with exceptional quality, presentation, and flavor across the board. It’s rare to find an all-inclusive resort where the food feels this elevated, and Grand Velas absolutely delivered. Our waiters were absolutely amazing and recommend the best dishes that we still think about even after the trip. What stood out most, however, was the staff. Every team member we encountered went above and beyond with kindness and professionalism, creating a level of hospitality that is hard to match. My husband and I would love to give a special shoutout to Santiago, who was our personal concierge during our stay. He went far & beyond to make sure we were taken care of and made us feel absolutely special during our anniversary. We were truly so lucky to be paired with Santiago. This was more than just a vacation—it was a truly memorable experience. We left feeling relaxed, cared for, and are already planning our return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a luxurious, stress-free getaway. 100/10 experience that you will not regret.
