Grand Velas Los Cabos is undeniably a luxury all-inclusive and does a very good job creating a relaxed, upscale family atmosphere. The service is solid and the property delivers a polished experience, but the challenge for Grand Velas is pricing. At its current rates, it competes directly with some of the highest-end resorts in Cabo, and that’s where it starts to fall a bit short on the finer details. The Food Is the Clear Win Food is where Grand Velas truly stands out. For an all-inclusive, it’s best in class. Cocina de Autor, Cabrilla, and Frida were all excellent and consistently impressive. Azul was fantastic for breakfast and set a strong tone to start the day. Lucca, however, didn’t leave much of an impression and felt like the weakest of the dining options. Pools & Grounds The pool experience is very standard—nice, but comparable to just about any quality resort in Mexico. Nothing bad, just nothing particularly memorable either. Spa & Fitness Disappointments For a hotel positioning itself firmly in the luxury category, the spa and fitness center were the biggest letdowns. The fitness center is quite limited, and neither the spa nor the gym offer complimentary access to amenities like a sauna, steam room, or plunge pool—appointments are required. That’s surprising and disappointing at this price point, especially when many true luxury resorts include these facilities as part of the experience. Overall Impression Overall, Grand Velas Los Cabos is not a bad hotel by any means and is very comparable to most high-quality all-inclusive resorts. You win on food, but you lose on the finer luxury touches and a property that feels a bit tired for the price. It’s a good option for families who prioritize dining, but those seeking a more refined, top-tier luxury experience may find better value elsewhere in Cabo.

We got to experience this 2 different ways in the last month. We went on a friends trip end of November and a family trip the 2nd week of December. Both were great experiences enhanced by our concierge abdias. For the family, the kids club was a god send. They were fantastic (even with out shy kids) there was fun activities everyday. The pool entertainment was great for the adults with the workout classes (thanks Cynthia and Andrea) this place is worth every penny.

The resort is beautiful and the food lives up to the hype! All the staff is friendly and do a great job of maintaining the property. Astrid was our concierge and she went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience on our honeymoon.

We just returned from Grand Velas Los Cabos and already can’t wait to come back. This was our second visit and somehow it was even better than the first. One of my favorite parts of the trip was enjoying a long, slow breakfast overlooking the ocean while our kids happily played with their blocks and coloring books. Javiar, our server during breakfast, took such wonderful care of us. He made every morning feel special. Friendly, attentive, and thoughtful the entire time. We looked forward to seeing him each day. I also want to give a special thank you to Cynthia, the trainer and nutritionist. I took her water aerobics classes and morning yoga classes. She was amazing, welcoming, and so encouraging. Her classes became a highlight of my mornings and made me actually excited to work out while on vacation. You cannot miss the morning yoga classes, the view with the sunrise is one of a kind and a great way to start the day! Our kids, ages 4 and 6, absolutely loved the kids club. We would check the schedule together, and they got to pick the activities or crafts they wanted to do that day. It gave my husband and me a couple hours to relax and enjoy the resort while knowing our kids were happy, entertained, and well taken care of. All the teachers at the kids club are so sweet and patient. The food here is incredible, the service is spectacular, and the resort is genuinely stunning. Every meal felt like an experience, and every staff interaction was top-tier. This was our second time at Grand Velas Los Cabos, and it definitely won’t be our last. We are already talking about our next trip and even excited to visit other Grand Velas locations in the future. Highly recommend!

We just returned from the most incredible stay at Grand Velas Los Cabos, and I can honestly say it couldn’t have been more perfect. We were celebrating both our wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday, and the entire team went above and beyond to make it feel truly special. The property itself is stunning – from the ocean views and beautiful pools to the elegant rooms and amazing food, everything feels thoughtful and luxurious. But what really made our stay unforgettable was the service. A very special thank you to Abdias, our personal concierge. He was absolutely wonderful – kind, attentive, and always one step ahead of what we needed. He helped us with dinner reservations, little surprises, and all the details that made both our anniversary and birthday celebrations feel extra personal and memorable. We felt genuinely cared for the entire time. We left feeling relaxed, spoiled, and very grateful. We can’t wait to come back to Grand Velas – it will always be a very special place for us.
