A True 5 Star Experience in Los Cabos

While there are a number of resorts my wife and I have stayed at in Los Cabos, Grand Velas is above all others and there are a few reasons for that: The service is amazing. Our concierge, Mariana Barrera, was incredible. She was constantly making sure our stay was good and helped with everything we needed and did it in a timely manner. The food, including a Michelin starred restaurant, is consistently outstanding. The property is exceptionally clean as well - not just our room, but the common areas are consistently maintained and it shows. While it's a AAA Five Diamond property, the all inclusive nature is a huge plus in my opinion because the cost of the vacation is predictable. We have already made a reservation to visit Grand Velas in 2025 and look forward to our return.

Review for Grand Velas Los Cabos From the moment we arrived, Christian, our concierge, made our stay unforgettable. His attentiveness and friendliness immediately put us at ease, and his professionalism shone throughout our trip. Christian has a remarkable ability to creatively solve any need we had, offering multiple options to ensure the best outcomes for our family. He consistently went above and beyond, anticipating our needs before we even voiced them. Whether it was planning our daily activities, securing last-minute reservations, or surprising us with thoughtful touches that enhanced our stay, Christian truly embodies the standard of excellence that Grand Velas represents, and I cannot emphasize that enough. He is an irreplaceable asset to the team, and anyone lucky enough to have him as their concierge is in for a treat. Having stayed at Velas Resorts seven times in the past three years, I can confidently say these tips and feedback are based on extensive experience traveling with small kids, friends, and family. The activities at Grand Velas Los Cabos are not to be missed! Painting bags and hats, sipping wine during pairing sessions, and indulging in expertly curated tastings were highlights of our trip. These experiences were beautifully organized, making them fun and seamless for both family and friends. Each activity was a wonderful opportunity to connect and create lasting memories in a stunning setting. While we love Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit for its old-world charm, Los Cabos takes luxury to the next level with its sleek, modern finishes and new-age elegance. Both resorts are exceptional in their own ways, but the refined details at Los Cabos stand out. One tip for guests: be prepared to tip generously! Tipping your concierge at the end of your stay, as well as servers during meals and poolside, is essential to show appreciation for their hard work and exceptional service. Speaking of exceptional service, Arturo and Gigi by the pool were absolutely incredible, ensuring we were always comfortable and cared for. Iran and Erik, our servers at Azul, were professional, friendly, and impressively attentive. At the front desk, Laura was wonderfully helpful and ensured every interaction was smooth. And Karla at the kids’ club is a gem! Our children adored her, and her creativity and energy made their time at the club unforgettable. Grand Velas Tips for future guests: Reach out to the hotel in advance to connect with your concierge. Scheduling dinner reservations at your preferred times and arranging child care before your arrival is crucial, especially during busy weeks. You can also communicate any allergies (food or otherwise) to the staff at that time so you can be accommodated (which they do anyway, but it’s next level when they know in advance). You can also schedule transportation to and from the hotel, and staff will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel in a well-appointed Suburban. Uber or a 3rd party service are also options, but you may not have AC. Trust me, it makes a world of difference in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable vacation. Also, bring your own pool toys and floaties. They’ll have sunscreen on hand for you at the pool, or options for purchase at the gift shop if you have sensitive skin or brand preferences. Grand Velas Los Cabos continues to exceed expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you to the amazing team for another unforgettable stay!
