The Staff make you Feel like Family

This was our third visit and we loved every minute of it again. Huge shout out to Omar the bellman…his service is always above and beyond, as is the service from all the bellmen. Omar helped us set up a rental car and helped us with anything and everything we needed. He’s a gem! Raul at the swim-up bar makes the BEST drinks and always remembers your order! The food was better this year than in past years (with the exception of Marco Polo, which now only serves Italian and was sub-par). Panchos was fantastic and the buffet quality was better than in past years. The staff were all working hard as always. Lots of upgrades going on around the resort (painting, renovations) but it was non-invasive and will surely look lovely once completed. This is a very family friendly resort and we enjoy the smaller size compared to some all-inclusives. We will be back next year! Muchas gracias!!
Beware they won’t refund your deposit if you cancel

Beware if you book at this hotel. I booked through Expedia (which also had horrible customer service) and reserved 2 rooms. I needed to cancel one of the rooms and did so before the deadline and should have received a full refund of the deposit for my cancelled room but the hotel continues to delay my refund. First they said the refund would take up to six weeks. Now they are telling me it takes up to 6-8 weeks. It has been over 7 weeks already and no one will tell me why it is taking so long so I’ve had to get my credit card company involved turning a simple refund into something that is sucking up a large chunk of my time. The hotel itself was fine but definitely not worth all of this hassle trying to get back my deposit.
