Great resort for couples and families!

lisahJ8391ZJ (Beaconsfield, Canada) on Feb 27, 2026

Excellent resort to relax and be pampered. Great staff makes this resort well worth a little further travel and I highly recommend upgrading to the Preferred Premium section (adults only) for premium drinks, exclusive pool (Hernan and Jesus) and lounge and beautiful rooms. Oceanic restaurant for lunch with Carlos the sever has the best dish in the resort; fresh mahi mahi and delicious individual cheesecake (best desert). We ate here 3 times for lunch as the food is hot, consistently delicious and we loved our server. For dinner we loved Meraki restaurant and our server Giovanni who went above and beyond to celebrate our birthday and to transform the menu into sharing plates for the group. For breakfast the buffet has the best tacos, with tortillas made fresh on the spot along with a toppings bar and all the western favourites. Although the beach is not swimmable (major rip tide) the long and flat sandy beach is a great walking course with warm salt water waves crashing over your feet. At night, leave your door open and fall asleep to the hypnotic sounds of the waves crashing to shore. For a 1 week trip, we loved our stay and took advantage of the spa, golf, swim up bar and shows. We highly recommend the resort for couples and families alike. One word - LOVE!

Awesome Family Getaway – Fantastic Service and Clear Allergy Menus!

Megan P (Edmonton, Canada) on Feb 27, 2026

We just returned from an incredible stay and cannot recommend this resort enough for families. The experience was seamless, the staff was exceptionally attentive, and our kids had an absolute blast. The Pool & Amenities The pool area is a highlight, featuring two waterslides and a lazy river. Pro-tip: The lazy river is unheated and has a very slow, relaxing pace—perfect for lounging. The pool servers are wonderful; Pedro Moreno, in particular, is an excellent, incredibly hardworking server who kept us well-taken care of. Drinks & Dining Tips * Breakfast & Lunch: The buffets were great, and we received wonderful service from Alonso and Pedro in the mornings. * The Smoothie Bar: This was a daily highlight. You can customize anything you’d like. A HUGE shout-out to Sayra; she went above and beyond for our family daily and was a total joy to see every morning. My girls loved visiting her. * Avoid the Crowds: If the main bar is busy, head to the beach bar. There is rarely a line, and they serve fantastic ceviche in the afternoons. Brian was an excellent bartender who crafted some wonderful custom cocktails for us. Restaurant Highlights * Meraki: Our favorite meal of the trip. Our server, Jose, was wonderful—he proactively prioritized the kids' meals and kept the drinks flowing. * Portofino: As someone with a dairy allergy, I expected a challenge here, but the menus are very clear. Eduardo provided excellent service, going out of his way to find me safe appetizers and modifying dishes to accommodate my needs. * El Patio: The food was excellent, and they offered several solid kids' options. Jesus served us both here and at an outdoor buffet; he is a fantastic server. Coffee & Dairy Alternatives I visited the coffee shop daily. They offer three milk alternatives (almond, coconut, and soy), though they did run out of the first two during our stay. If you are strictly dairy-free, just be aware that stock can fluctuate. Final Verdict This was a very comfortable stay with a staff that truly cares about the guest experience. I can’t say enough great things about the people here. We loved the seamless service, the kids loved the slides, and we would definitely come back!

Good not great

Warning: Something funky is going on with reviews at this resort and I couldn't help but notice that my own review did not require proof that I was a guest. This is not a 5 star resort...it is more accurately, it is a 4 star. The good: The food is good, the rooms and bed is great. The entertaiment team is very committed to making guests happy. A shout out to David, Filip and Enrique for helping us have fun. Great guys! Also, I'd like to thank Anna at the omellette station and Chef Krack and Samantha for patiently showing me the gluten free options. A big thumbs down for the incessant repetative "musac" that starts up at 7am on the pool deck and wakes you up in your room. Many others suffered this fate. Also ticked off from seeing on-line that they have pickleball courts, calling the hotel before booking to confirm it was true and the hotel "failing" to mention it would cost us over $1,000 (CAD) total to play there each day during our stay! How do you spell "All inclusive?" I've been to over 20 resorts and this is the first time that sport courts have not been included. Lastly, they are severely understaffed. Long lines at the pool bars, coffee shop and front desk.

Amazing Experience at El Patio

jihanm2016 on Feb 26, 2026

We ate twice at El Patio, once with Antonio and again with Miguel who provided amazing service. Miguel went above and beyond and if anyone is lucky enough to have him serve you then you are in for a special night! Would keep going back for Miguel and his heartfelt service over an over again!! Food was excellent both nights by Manuel and our hostess Medina is so friendly you feel welcomed right from the start!
