Never Again
Jayesh S on Apr 19, 2026
We made a reservation at this resort in January for a stay from March 27th, 2026, to March 31st, 2026. However, upon arrival, we were informed that the resort was closed and would not reopen until the following month. This last-minute notification forced us to book an alternative resort at a higher rate. The lack of prior notice and poor communication from the resort's management was disappointing and frustrating, demonstrating a clear lack of professionalism. It is essential for establishments to notify customers of any changes or closures in a timely manner to avoid such situations. Our experience with this resort is very disappointing and would not recommend to anyone!!

Cancelled Family Reservation for 7 people & still unable to get refund after ONE Month
Amgracei on Mar 25, 2026
In January 2026, i made and paid for a booking for 7 people. This was done directly on the Decameron's website. It was was Easter time. February 25, i received an email that my reservation had been cancelled because the hotel was still closed due to the hurricane and will now not open until May!!! There was no mention of this when i was making the booking. I was given 2 options: Refund or Transfer to Panama Decameron. I emailed back to accept the Refund option. I was sent a form to fill and given a link to where to upload afterwards. This has been done and still NO REFUND!!! I have sent several emails without getting a response back. I am incurring charges on my card due to the HUGE amount on it (booking for 7 people for 9 nights)!! CAN YOU GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK PLEASE!!! Imagine, no reservation, no money back - and this is supposed to be a decent hotel?? Don't make me start a serious case with you guys.
Why can't I book?

I'm trying to book my annual Jamaica trip for the fall and it says there are no rooms available. I'm wondering if it's closed down for renovations. If anyone has any input to share that would be greatly appreciated because I've stayed there once before and enjoyed it very much. That was when they first opened but I'd like to try it again. I hope someone has an answer because I really would like to come in November
Difficult time getting our money back when hotel cancelled reservation due to ongoing hurricane damage
Jackie R on Mar 11, 2026
Booked this hotel in early February for the week of March 22nd. Easily took our payment via credit card through their website. We received a call over a month later saying hotel would not be open yet (they said would now be opening in May) due to previous hurricane damage. Ok fine, totally understand EXCEPT getting our money returned was a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. We waited almost 2 weeks to see if our credit card would be credited. No luck. We had to call their phone maze to actually get someone who could help us. They referred us to the hotel website and at the bottom was a link to ‘Request a Refund’. Went through the process only to receive an email a few days later with an odd form titled ‘Reimbursement Request Letter’ that they wanted us to fill out that involved providing personal information. The form included this line: “I hereby request that you reimburse it, taking into account the following reasons…. As if WE were the ones cancelling! At that point we were so frustrated and quite frankly suspicious that we ended up disputing the claim with our credit card company instead of submitting the form. We also provided the CC company with a copy of the ‘Reimbursement Request Letter’ and was promptly credited the full amount.
