First and foremost, me and my friends stayed 4 nights/5days! They had NO TOWELS!!! We literally had to go into town to purchase them. Staff was incredibly rude, more so the females. Then I was served RAW fried chicken the first hour getting there!
My bedding was dirty, floors were dirty and no room there was updated. Bathroom had holes under the sink which was super creepy. Even mentioning it to staff we were waived off. It was equivalent to stay at a lowest budget motel in the US.
The reviews we researched I’m sure were added by staff. This was definitely not worth the all inclusive price we paid, especially being that we ended up staying away most of the day due to the terrible service and living environment.
Ohhhhh and I’m almost certain they had bed bugs or something the way I was bitten up. It was a horrible place and almost ruin my first Jamaican experience.
Also most of the individuals in charge are women and they are mean as heck not only to customers but to staff. There was one woman we encountered that works the desk that was amazing. Other than her, save your time and money!
Stay at the S hotel or Secrets. We had other family here and that’s where they were. OH, and if traveling with family book the same place if possible because under NO circumstances can you visit with each other and any resort! The S Hotel did allow us in the lobby area.
The Good, the Bad and the UGLY

The good: the beach is gorgeous, the water sports are cheap and the overall energy and ambience is straight good vibes. As rinky dink as this place is, it is the cleanest resort I have ever been to. They also take your safety very seriously. It can be a little annoying at times, even. I came here from Secrets and wish I could just move the whole Decameron staff over there. The staff is so sweet, hard-working and accommodating and truly seem to enjoy working there. They act care-free and I envied the quality of life I made up in my mind they have. Andre (front desk) is exceptional; he deserves a raise and a promotion. He is about 90% the reason I decided to say anything good in this review.
The bad: the food on the Montego Bay side sucks. Any time you see an elderly white woman feverishly shaking salt onto her plate you already know. The Jamaican restaurant was a disappointment. (The Mediterranean restaurant has the best food). Can we get more authentic Jamaican selections? The bar is always missing something. No more spa services, can't even get a massage. This place is LOUD. If you are looking for peace and quiet you will only get it in pockets. The evening shows are enjoyable and quite entertaining, however, if you just want to call it a night and go to sleep, you'll have to wait for them to wrap it up as it sounds like the stage is right in your room.
The ugly: this property needs a lot of maintenance and though they have many reasons why they are challenged making the updates, it currently its what it is. The place is literally falling apart. Choosing a room is rolling dice. No AC, no water pressure, busted pipes, TV not working, elevator not working...you just don't know what you'll get. They changed my room THREE times and I still was stuck with a faulty AC unit. Management was unapologetic and unaccommodating and needs to sit in a customer service class led by Andre. It is to the point that I am seriously considering asking for some of my money back to compensate for my discomfort and time lost fighting issue after issue. That is all I'll say about that.
Should you go? If you are financially strapped, take your chances. If you can afford a couple more dollars, try the Cornwall side. Aside from that, it's just not worth all the trouble. Wait until they supposedly make the necessary repairs and check back for better reviews. This place has potential and I'm hoping they get it together!
