Poor Customer Service

Elizabeth B on Jan 05, 2023

We booked Hampton Inn Opryland for our daughter's gymnastics meet. We had to book for the entire length of the meet back in August as we didn't know when she would actually be competing and we needed to make sure we had a place to stay. Upon trying to modify our reservation, our rate was going to almost double because we were removing some of the days of our stay. In trying to speak with someone to rectify this, we were told thata manager would have to help and a manager was neve available. We canceled and booked elsewhere. Hampton may have lost our business for good.

Good Stay

FoodBucketList (Troy, Alabama) on Dec 25, 2022

Pros: Location is great if you’re looking to stay near all thugs Opry Breakfast staff is kind and accommodating Very close to the interstate and eating establishments Cons: Shuttle is basically non-existent; we booked this location because of the reviews about the shuttle, but when we arrived, we were told that it’s operated by a third-party that was unreachable each time we requested. Huge letdown! We ended up using Uber one day & paying for parking at the Opry ($35). Cleanliness- The overall quality of clean was ok, but the deep cleaning doesn’t seem to be happening. (See pictures) It was snowing so I understand that the floors will be a mess, but the floors in the lobby were not cleaned during our visit. I know this is a mixed review. We’d stay here again, as our stay was overall positive. We were safe and warm.

Great Area to stay to attend Grand Ole Opry and shop Opry Mills

kingsporttraveler (Kingsport, Tennessee) on Dec 03, 2022

I am a Hampton Inn Awards Member, I have stayed in Hampton's this year about 10 nights and this was just average... not upscale like the others.... it was very clean, but things need updating.... the bench at the foot of the bed was broken and the lights in the bathroom and vanity kept kicking the GSI breaker.... I did not feel the warm fuzzy feeling from the staff that i got from other Hampton Inns.... the last two i have stayed did not offer my complimentary water but that was ok....I had my own. The area was perfect for easy access to the Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills.... back road took us there without traffic hassle.

Needs a deep cleaning

Trail18167637750 (Vernal, Utah) on Nov 04, 2022

The room furniture was filthy. Armrests and backs were almost black with grime. The carpet was in need of cleaning/replacement also. It looked as though the middle of the room was very well vacuumed however the edges and under the tables were not. The closet sliding door was broken and would not close. The WI-FI connection was poor. Sometimes it was ok but other times a warning would come on the screen saying “too many connected, try again later”. The television was the same way, hit and miss.

Allergy alert!

1037wolf on Oct 29, 2022

This hotel needs major updating for the price you pay! Room was old & dim. Bathroom dirty. Room smelled like pets with pet hair everywhere. I have allergies & was not told when we made the reservation that not one room in the whole hotel is pet free! I asked front desk after returning from room as it was gagging with deodorizer. No rooms are available in whole hotel that does not accept pets. What about us? I love dogs but not on my bed or in my room. Front desk was very friendly but couldn’t do anything about condition of room. It was equipped for handicap but old rusted bathroom! Better hotels are all around this one!
