Left me out in the cold

I booked well in advance. Today i got an e-mail from Hilton Honors telling me they will not honor my reservation which would start 10 days from now. They gave me no reason and gave me no alternatives. I had to book another more expensive property when in fact it was up to the Doubletree Metropolitan to accommodate me. Pathetic behavior. I expected more from Hilton. I expected more from HHonors. I expected more from the Doubletree Metropolitan. They left me out in the cold and threw no blankets. The correct thing to do was to arrange for a nearby comparable property at the same price. They did not do that. Very sad excuse for hospitality. COVID is no excuse anymore.

Don´t know what to do

I have a reservation for late October but since I've read the reviews I called the hotel and as I imagined, no answer. I called Hilton and they told me to wait one week before my trip to check if the hotel was still closed or not. whaaatttt?
