Make sure you don’t leave and belongings behind.

Hotel in a great location especially for Volcano Bay which is a short walk across the resort pool. Reception staff really nice especially Danii who has a lovely friendly yet professional manner. Be careful that you take all your belongings when checking out. I left some heated hair appliance in the bathroom and when I returned later on in the evening they had not been handed in to lost property. Spoke to the manager who was really nice he escorted us to the room which still wasn’t occupied and there was no sign of my appliance. They had either been thrown away or taken as the room was not occupied by new guests. Poor show and no compensation either so make sure you remember to take everything from your room.

Great budget option

Stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of a long holiday which started at Loews Sapphire Falls across the road and in comparison, the room was nicer, more modern, the breakfast way better, the rooftop bar better and pretty decent in every way at this price point. The downside was a small and basic pool which was adequate.

Universal’s Aventura- A+ for a quick visit

NurseKRB (Stoney Creek, Canada) on Aug 11, 2024

Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at this wonderful property. Booked a Standard 2 Queen room and was upgraded upon arrival to a skyline view by the lovely Yarelys, for my husband’s birthday. Such a gorgeous view of the parks and the water over at Sapphire Falls. We were able to check in prior to the 4pm check in time. Yarelys was friendly, smiling and very helpful- answered all of our questions and provided excellent and efficient service. Room spacious, bed comfortable, everything in working order, fantastic water pressure. The cleanliness upon arrival could have been improved- some kind of dust/debris lined the floors and surfaces of desk and bathroom vanity area. Not a deal breaker. Public areas were clean and well maintained. Pool and hot tub area was clean, plenty of fresh towels available at all times of day and night. Gym on site as well. Pool was a refreshing temperature. Life guards available at all times. Starbucks on site in the lobby was handy for early mornings. While we did not use the on site restaurants we did browse the menus and the area- looked clean, well stocked and had multiple menu choices available until 11pm daily. Roof top and Lobby bar were excellent for a late night drink, although slightly expensive. But this is to be expected. 2 smoking sections on site which were clean, convenient and well located. Loved that the hotel was in close proximity to Sapphire Falls to utilize the water taxi to Universal City Walk and the parks. Early admission to Islands of Adventure was very helpful in maximizing park time. Hotel location was excellent in terms of getting around to off site restaurants, entertainment, IDrive and highway access to Celebration/Kissimmee. Felt very safe to walk and drive any time of day. Parking garage easy to navigate and opens with room key. All lighting and room temp controls are done via a tablet in the room. This was initially a weird concept, but we ended up really enjoying the technology. Elevators feature large touch screens which was excellent (especially for my spouse who is visually impaired) parking is $23 per day. Check out done via cell phone which was a huge plus. This hotel was recommended for myself as a place to go without children. There were far less children here than the other larger hotels, which was a great choice for us as a travelling couple. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a mid range, family and couples friendly hotel with easy access to Universal Parks. One piece of feedback would be for the hotel to equip their Guest Services With correct information. I emailed the hotel a few weeks out asking about the toiletries provided. I was given a long general list. Upon arrival, we found there was only shampoo conditioner and bar soap. There was no body wash, lotion or amenity kit, as they advertised. It was not orderable from the front desk either. As we travelled via air with carry on, I did not pack some items based on their communication, and wished we did….just note that in room amenities are limited and to bring your own if you absolutely need something, or be prepared to pay for it. We thoroughly enjoyed our first time at Universal and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. We found it to be of good value, having great on site choices of food and beverage, and loved that we could use the amenities at the other Premium Hotels for no added cost.

Quiet hotel

57andy (Lincolnshire, United Kingdom) on Aug 10, 2024

Less of a theme park hotel more of a standard hotel. Nice rooms, decent quick service food but no real restaurant. Bar 17 does serve food with a great view but not much of a selection. Sapphire falls very nearby has Amatista restaurant. A quiet pool as it appears most people go to the nearby Volcano Bay. A bit of an oasis from the Universal theme parks.

Great stay!

lukehopper123 (Sunderland, United Kingdom) on Aug 04, 2024

We visited this hotel as a last minute getaway to Florida from the UK. Usually staying in a villa but we decided to stay at this hotel seeing as it was a last minute deal. Hotel was clean, views were amazing over universal, bed was so comfy! Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Overall a fantastic stay and it’s certainly changed our minds on staying in a villa!
