We decided to have our wedding here and we are so glad we did. The resort was stunning, the staff was very attentive and friendly, the buffet/food was incredible. All inclusive is the way to go, you can walk up to any restaurant/bar and order whatever you want. No limit, It’s dangerous. Our wedding coordinator was Adriana and I feel so lucky to have had her. She was so attentive, we had been emailing back and forth for months. The wedding turned out perfect and was everything we hoped it would be. Thank you so much to iberstar for the amazing experience.

Our experience was absolutely wonderful especially because of one person, Victor Morales at The Club!!! The service and care from him especially really made our vacation bright!!

We visited Iberostar Playa Mita for the second time in early March. One of the main reasons that we returned was because of the friendly and helpful staff. Just like our first visit, we were treated like welcomed guests. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to make us comfortable. The staff seemed to enjoy getting to know us, as did we, yet in a way that did not violate boundaries. We like the size of this resort - it is not too big, but has all the facilities that we desire. We have been to nicer beaches, but they seem to make the most of what God has provided. The ocean was clear and good for wave jumping, swimming, and floating. We also appreciate the terrace area where you can get great views of the ocean, beach and surrounding areas and also the gorgeous sunsets. We enjoyed the entertainment. One evening we watched a Wixarika (Huichol) ceremony on the terrace. It was very good. We were also fortunate to see a band that was from the outside in the Adelita bar for the second time. A top notch band for being at a resort. We also got to see a Mariachi band that was good. The resort has three very nice pools. We were more than satisfied with the restaurants. Unless you are expecting a 5 star menu, you should be happy with the meals. We especially enjoyed our dinners at the Pacific Express. We were treated very, very well by the staff. When we arrived, Miguel greeted us and got us up and running and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Our other concierges, Ana and Stephanie also took excellent care of us throughout the week. We were able to participate in a wine tasting event with Karla. Karla did an excellent job of explaining the wines and what foods with which they would best pair. She was very very personable, and gave us an extra treat. ;>) Michelle was very helpful when we were able to visit the terrace. As always, Vincente served us excellent and creative cocktails at the terrace bar. Pedro treated us to a mixology class. He showed us how to make three drinks and gave us the recipes. He also did an excellent job of including us in the experience. If you go to this resort, you have to visit the Toston bar and grill which is right of the beach. Adrian is a great bartender and an even greater character. Spend enough time with him and you will have fun. If you like fish or shrimp tacos, make sure that you visit the 'grill' next to Adrian. The fish tacos are great - lightly breaded, fresh, and simple. We ate lunch there almost every day. Belqui treated to several of her culinary creations. On most of the days, Marianna or Jerusalem would bring out a special food item to try. For example, one day it was mango and tajin, another day it was buffalo wings, and another it was shrimp ceviche. Both of them always engaged us in pleasant conversation. I can't think of the proper superlatives to describe our spa experiences. We were treated twice by Ghema and Juliana. They both have manos de angeles. Both times they exceeded our expectations. It was maravillosa!! We will definitely return.

The activities at the resort were excellent. The entertainment team was so much fun and engaging. Pilates and Zumba with Angel was so much fun even though we were exercising.

My husband and I have visited resorts and hotels all over the Caribbean and Mexico in the last 40 years and this is one of the very best. It is beautifully landscaped, decorated and full of amenities. Our room was clean, well equipped with lots of storage, comfortable beds and beautiful, refillable water bottles. Despite construction next door, noise was minimal and never early in the morning or late in the day. The beach was quiet, good for walking, with an watchful lifeguard and an attendee ready to bring umbrellas and chairs as needed. There were always lots of loungers available around the huge pool and activities by the hour. The sunset terrace was great to sit at all day long, a quiet spot away from the busier area around the pool. Entertainment at night was good , particularly the special Wixarika Ceremony. The food was excellent. Buffet choices were huge with excellent table service. Try the mimosa at breakfast and any of their soups. the specialty restaurants were very nice with great service. Reservations required only at the Steakhouse (huge, delicious steak) and Japanese. Lots of other choices at lunch, tacos at the beach bar and burgers etc at the pool bar. All house wines were excellent - better than any other all inclusive that I have been to. Use their app to find out what’s going on and to make restaurant reservations. We did not have any health problems - filtered water is available on all floors using their refillable water bottles. All in all, a great trip. This resort and the staff delivered a wonderful experience and we will recommend it to all friends and family looking for a relaxing, rewarding vacation.
