We had a really enjoyable stay at Meliá Caribe Beach Resort! The hotel impresses with its beautiful, well-kept garden and wide, sandy beach – perfect for relaxing and long walks. A huge highlight for us was FunRepublic – an amazing attraction that provided lots of fun. Unfortunately, the staff was a bit inconsistent. At the dining area, sometimes servers walked between tables as if they didn’t notice guests, and at the lobby bar, we sometimes had to wait up to 20 minutes for a drink. The waitresses in the lobby between 6:30 PM and 10 PM approached us only once; later they often stood watching the show or chatting with colleagues. The lobby is beautiful, but there are too few seats – the beds take up almost half the space, and often only one person was lying on them. Perhaps moving the beds and placing tables with chairs would give guests a more comfortable seating area. The rooms need some refreshing. In our room, drawers wouldn’t close, tiles were cracked, and a lamp didn’t work – we had to wait 10 days for a replacement bulb. On the positive side, the cleaning staff did an excellent job – the rooms were really clean and tidy, which greatly improved our comfort. Meals were tasty, although sometimes food was already cold when the buffet opened, and the same happened in the à la carte restaurants. Still, there was a wide variety, and everyone could find something they liked. An important issue is that the hotel offers different types of all-inclusive packages, including “Level” and “Exclusive,” and it is noticeable that guests are treated differently depending on which option they choose. In my opinion, all guests should be treated equally, as everyone is a paying guest. The differences mainly affect drinks and certain attractions, not the service, but we clearly noticed that staff sometimes treat guests differently based on the color of their wristbands. For example, on the beach, towels of regular guests were sometimes removed from sunbeds and placed on the sand when someone went to lunch or the water, and the sunbeds were then given to Level guests – we had never experienced anything like this before. Another major negative point was related to my MeliáRewards card. I paid a bill, and points should have been credited within 2 days, but 10 days have already passed and they still haven’t appeared. This is a significant shortcoming in the service. In summary, the hotel has a fantastic location, beautiful surroundings, and great attractions, and the high level of cleanliness outweighs minor shortcomings in service and the need for room updates. That’s why I gave it 5 stars – our stay was very enjoyable, and we would happily return!

There were a bunch of mixed reviews when I was looking to book this resort but we had an amazing experience. The food was INCREDIBLE!! From the buffets to the restaurants everything was incredible. we didn’t get to eat everywhere but we loved what we had. drink selection was good, staff was always kind, helpful and honestly just so fun. definitely worth every dollar spend and a time was had.
Dinner at Rumba

Dinner here was great! I had the Dominican Flag meal for dinner and it was delicious. The meat was full of flavour and the combination with the rice and beans was great. Our server Brandy was very attentive and kind. Highly recommend!

All inclusive vacation for a family of 12. Something for everyone. Great pools and beach! I would recommend upgrading to the Level. Better selection of restaurants and less crowded. We used the Riviera most of the time. Excellent breakfast and international dinners featuring different countries every night.. The kids loved it. Very friendly staff for the most part. Rooms are large maybe a bit dated but clean. Immaculate grounds!! Peacocks by the pool! Good transport always available. Great evening entertainment, make sure you get the weekly hand out, usually given at arrival or ask for it. Overall a wonderful vacation and resort!!
