Overall I enjoyed my experience in Punta Cana, lots of great times at the resort, but there were a couple of unfortunate incidents that happened involving Reservations and Front Desk responses.

Melia rating. Not up to standards. Food wasn’t very good. Rooms were not accommodating and air conditioning wasn’t working right. Staff said they would do things but never did.
Low Customer service, hotel needs renovations

Better off at a smaller boutique hotel, this place is big but lacks friendliness, professionalism and customer service. They do not guarantee your room type when you book so beware they reserve the right to move you to whatever they have on your date of arrival then they will try to upsale you what you booked.

This is my shoutout to Willy Diaz, the best bartender on the resort! We came to visit him every night after dinner because he made our whole day.

Wily Diaz was hands down the best bartender I’ve ever had. Absolutely enhanced our week here at the Meliá providing us with some of the best drinks and entertainment. Be sure to visit him by the pool bar at the Riviera! He was a must visit every night after dinner.
