The good: - level pool is very chill and quiet - grand suite is spacious - lobby area very nice The bad: - service has gone down considerably over the past three years (we have come three years in a row, there won’t be a fourth) - requested a bed for child - wasn’t delivered and she had to sleep on the floor for night one - pull out beds are ATROCIOUS - springs sticking out everywhere, stained, and ours didn’t even have a mattress - snack bar at the level no longer has wings, pizza, ice cream which was a saving grace when we travelled with kids - still advertising it but don’t have it - hardly any drink service around the pool - very poor service at buffet restaurants - hard to get water refilled and often we’re missing cutlery. - breakfast buffet options were always cold (pancakes etc) - showers don’t have bottom guards on them so water leaks out all over the floor - we had exact same issue last year in a different room - concierge service is a complete joke. Our concierge got fired halfway through our stay and we didn’t get another one so had no assistance booking reservations for New Year’s Eve. A complete waste of time. - this resort NEEDS to upgrade their key card system. It is insane. The cards demagnetized constantly and often we had to run up and down three slights of stairs and then all the way to the lobby to have they redone. Cannot imagine if we had mobility issue or were travelling with a baby. It was infuriating and happened every day. - towel system is ridiculous. We didn’t get any towels cards on arrival and the people at the hugs gave major attitude about it -most loungers broken in some way at the water park, completely unsafe - there are stray cats everywhere, many clearly unwell which were very upsetting to me and my daughter. They need to be rounded up and either neutered and released or euthanized. It’s absolutely horrible seeing them all over the place. We just won’t be coming back to Melia for a fourth time. It is not especially cheap, and it should be for the tired rooms and lack of service.

Excellent service! Every day the room was in perfect condition. The bathroom very clean and her attention with a lot of care . The day of our the room had a nice decor in the bed welcoming. Karla always ready to help on our needs, from towels, shampoo, cream, etc with a smile. The bed with clean sheets and comfortable pillows she care to be done early for us to take a nap .
