The complex was lovely, the staff were brilliant a real asset to the Barcelo. The restaurants are good but the food in the self service restaurants could be better by changing the selection more often and replenishing the food more often.

Beautiful hotel on the beach with excellent customer service. Estefania and Mario went out of their way to make us feel welcome for our anniversary.

My family and I had an absolutely fantastic 10-day stay at Barceló Maya, and a huge part of what made our trip so memorable was the incredible entertainment staff, especially Alberto and Gabriel. From the very first day, they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and full of positive energy. They have a natural ability to make everyone feel included and special, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time at the pool. Whether they were organizing activities, joking around, or simply checking in on us, they always made us feel like more than just guests. What really stood out was how genuine and personable they were. By the end of our stay, it honestly felt like we were saying goodbye to friends rather than hotel staff. They brought so much energy and fun to our days, and their personalities made the pool one of our favorite places to spend time. Alberto and Gabriel are a huge asset to Barceló Maya, and they deserve recognition for the amazing experience they create for guests. Thank you both for making our family trip so special and giving us memories we’ll be talking about for a long time!

Gabriel, Jessica, Biani, Claudia, and Alberto are so funny and nice. They made my trip so enjoyable! They have the best activities and games!

My wife and I have been Barcelo Maya patrons since 2010. This trip we had the distinct pleasure of getting to know Jessica Rojas from the Entertainment Team. Jessica has one of those rare personalities that is so warm and inviting that you find yourself looking for her each day so you can continue whatever conversation you had with her. She also has a real knack for getting usual non-participants to participate, which is evident at every pool function that she's involved with. You can tell by the size of the crowd and their enthusiasm. If you're in the Beach or Caribe sections make sure you look her up. If you have the good fortune of meeting her you'll see what I mean, and when you do, tell her Todd from New Jersey gives her five stars. I hope Barcelo knows how fortunate they are to have hired such a fine young lady.
