Excellent experience. This was our first time here in Mexico. The Staff always went out of their way to make your stay pleasant. A big shout to the Staff at the Buffet they remembered who you were and welcomed you with open arms and smiles in their face. Well done

Here’s your updated review, tightened and polished while keeping your tone and key points: ? We chose this Tulum resort after a lot of research, specifically because it’s adults-only, and overall it offered a relaxing stay with some real highlights — alongside a few frustrations. The approach from the road isn’t as impressive as some neighbouring resorts, and it is noticeably closer to the road, so there is background traffic noise throughout the resort. The resort itself is well thought out and set within dense jungle, which creates a lovely natural feel. However, this does mean rooms and balconies can feel quite shaded, with limited light and warmth. There’s also nowhere to dry clothes, so things can take several days to dry due to the shade and cooler overnight temperatures — worth bringing some string for this. Food is a real standout. There’s a huge amount of choice at the buffet and across the restaurants. Dinner restaurants were consistently very good, and it was easy to get reservations. The only slight downside was that service often felt a bit rushed, and buffet food wasn’t always as hot as it could be. We did have an issue on arrival as no king-size bed was available, meaning we had to move rooms after the first night. This was disappointing and inconvenient, as we had to repack and take all our luggage back to reception, which disrupted the start of the holiday. The second room was definitely better (with sockets by the bed and an extractor fan in the bathroom), but the situation could have been handled better. It’s worth noting that there are very few standard rooms — only one of the six blocks — with the other five being “privilege” rooms at an additional cost of around $110 per night. The upgrade didn’t seem to offer significant extra value (a dedicated restaurant, upgraded menu options, and some discounts), and while we didn’t feel we were missing out, there was a slight sense that standard guests (blue wristbands) were treated as a lower tier, despite there being plenty of us. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and hardworking. The resort was spotlessly clean, and a huge amount of effort went into clearing sargassum from the beach early each morning, which was impressive. Despite being surrounded by tropical vegetation, there were surprisingly very few mosquitoes. The small animals around the resort were a lovely touch and not intrusive at all. WiFi was strong throughout the resort, which was a bonus. The bars were excellent, with properly made cocktails rather than cheaper versions — a nice touch. There are no plastic straws (great from an environmental perspective), so bring a reusable one if that matters to you. A small tip: bring a light jumper or jacket, as early mornings and evenings can feel cooler than expected. We travelled with TUI — the transfer was smooth and the driver was friendly (even offering tequila), although there was no sign of a rep at the advertised times. We booked an excursion through the hotel/Air Canada desk instead, which was very well organised and clearly explained. Overall, the standout features here are the food, bars, and cleanliness. With a few improvements around room allocation and small practical details, this could easily feel like a top-tier resort.
Just OK

We have traveled to the Cancun/Playa/Tulum area probably a dozen times before and always try to stay somewhere new each time. We are in our 40’s and very easy going and not travel or food snobs at all. With that said, we found this resort to be very average. We had reserved rooms with two beds, but were greeted at check-in by Keyla (very unfriendly) who immediately pulled the classic Mexican resort bait-n-switch on us saying that we would have to upgrade and pay an extra $60 per night in order to get the rooms with 2 beds that we had booked….so we had a rough start and already felt duped. Otherwise, the property is beautiful and has that Tulum jungle feel. The service in the buffet was excellent and the hostesses were very sweet - otherwise we found the service by the pool and at the bars to be pretty rough. There is very limited selection of liquors in the bars and no grill/pool snacks whatsoever between lunch and dinner. The Margarita bar in the lobby closes around 9:30-10pm so unless you go to the nightly party down by the pool things shut down pretty early. We found the crowd to be mostly couples in their 50’s+ with a lot of travelers from Europe and Eastern Canada. We are very social people and usually make a lot of friends on our trips but were unable to engage with anyone in our 5 day visit. The food was average and restaurants were all overly bright and had no ambiance other than Tao Cat - which was stunning. This was a one-&-done for us…
Wonderful From Start To Finish

We had a wonderful time here from beginning to end. The food, the accommodations, & most importantly the service. Special thank you to Flaviano for taking good care of us at Bloved with attentive service & great recommendations.
