Reviews
A great vacation but we would not choose this resort again.

Room: The room was clean, great water pressure in the shower and always hot. We had fresh towels daily but lacked turn down service. Didn’t matter how much you tipped the maid, the turndown service was hit and miss. The safe did not work consistently and you would have to call security to come unlock it for you. Although the service was fairly quick (5-15 minutes), it was an inconvenience and also makes one feel as though maybe their belongings aren’t as safe as you think. When talking to multiple other couples, the safe was a common complaint with the same issues. We also didn’t like having to bring our pool towels back to the room to be able to exchange them. A cabana for towels at the pool would have been much better Restaurants: The food was good. The breakfast and lunch buffets had lots of selection. We were very disappointed that there was no supper buffet. If you did not make a reservation, you had to order room service or you did not eat. The room service food was not good. The wait was extremely long and food was often cold. After 10pm, the only option from room service is a cold sandwich. We really enjoyed Toscana and Rauxa; however, the beef was very inconsistently cooked. Had some raw chicken from the lunch buffet as well. Pool: The pool was great. Always a great time at the pool bar, but the music was lacking; often hours without any music. We had to bring our own speaker to the pool. The entertainment was mediocre at best. Regina, Georgina, Johnny, Carlos and Diego were very energenic and excellent in engaging everyone around the pool when there were activities going on. We would have liked more activities besides, dance lessons and bingo. Nightlife: All the nightly shows were around the pool where seating and space is limited. We found the drinks were either tasteless or too sweet. A nightclub was one of the reasons for choosing this resort, which no longer exists. Resort grounds: Immaculate!!! Always clean, not a piece of litter around. Seeing the animals and the jungle-like atmosphere was fantastic. The beach has beautiful white sand. Overall, the staff were friendly and did their best to make sure we had a good time but there are some improvements that need to be made for the amount of money it costs to stay here.
Beautiful and good food. Would go back if price was right

Overall we had a lovely time here! Definitely worth it to get the upgrade to privileged for access to BLoved. Glorious views on the beach and delicious healthy options. The “Happiness Providers” crew Were great, so fun and personable. Johnny Be good was the best, but Carlos, Regina, Georgina, Paulina, Diego, Beto — all wonderful! Elias at the tequila bar was so fun and made great drinks. Karina the beach waitress is a sweetheart. Honestly all of the staff at the resort were super nice, and the food was very flavorful and yummy IMO. Our only complaints were this: We realized we hate having to make reservations for dinner and being on a schedule, but that is a personal preference. The rooms were musty and weren’t that great; there was nothing “privileged” about it…and The entertainment struggled a bit. They only play music at the pool bar from like 12-1, and then 3-4, which is inclusive of 3:25 Bingo, so a lot of people had speakers going from 1-3 and 4-6 while the bars were open. We had fun with our speaker but we just wished the background music would’ve continued throughout the afternoon. We only made it up late a few nights and it was just ok. Felt like as soon as people started having fun they stopped it. I get it they need to take breaks and sleep though so I don’t know how you balance it to please everyone. Overall beautiful place! Would go back if there was a good deal.
