Overall great family vacation
roni f (Loveland, Colorado) on Jan 03, 2026
Overall we had a great family vacation. The resort is showing its age a little and the food could have been better. We have teenage kids and loved walking into town. The beach area felt a little closed off and we spent less time there than I expected. Normally we spend a lot of time in the ocean and on the beach. We definitely spent more time at the pool here. The staff were friendly and inviting.
Amazing customer service, average resort

I couldn't say anything nicer about the staff. They were accommodating and friendly. The pool staff kept the drinks coming and were entertainaing and interactive with everyone. They did great with multiple people with multiple languages. When it came to everything else, I would say it was as expected and an average stay for an all-inclusive resort. With over an hour drive from the airport, it wouldn't be my first choice for a resort, but we were comfortable and the staff did what they could to help.
Great bartender

Experience overall was sub par but the highlight was Marcos the bartender at the mixology bar who was the only person in the resort that could make a decent drink and was lovely.
Marcos, best mixologist!

Marcos is hands down the best I’ve experienced in Cancun. I’ve been coming here every year for the past seven years, and he truly made this trip unforgettable. Best mixologist ever!
An okay hotel but could be better

This hotel is really dated and could do with an upgrade to the decor. We paid extra for the preferred club but it didn’t feel better or more luxurious than the normal side. There should have been a higher level of sun lounger by the pool in preferred club, once with mattresses on them but they were the same as the other ones. There were not enough sunloungers in the preferred club section of the beach or at all for that matter. The staff were not quick enough to clear away trays of food from room service when people left them outside their doors I’d often see staff walking past ignoring them, there was no liquid hand soap by the sink in the room only hand cream and a small bar of soap which is a dated approach in my opinion. We had to ask for slippers, there was only one robe in the room and the lobby area was really small with not enough seating especially as people ran to gather there when it rained. The staff were friendly and helpful, the marina was a nice place to walk to and the food was of a good standard. The hotel generally felt more like a 3 star budget hotel and when we made our opinions clear to management they provided us with peanut M&M’s and Pringles each day although we confirmed a number of times that my friend ahead a nut allergy. The restaurants used a long winded old fashioned paper system to seat you each time which I thought was a waste. Most places have iPad like technology these days overall I’d give my stay here 6/10
