Avoid at all costs

We are currently staying here. We have had no room phone from 7 days, no hot water for 3 and the room has not been proper cleaned post Hurricane Beryl. We were left to clean a flooded room ourselves having not been moved from the beach front during the hurricane. Prior to this we had no phone or hot water. We have spent 3 days chasing this situation being sorted and all that has occurred is the phone has been reconnected. We were given a free $40 lunch and offered a certificate for 2 days stay next visit. No one can make a decision and the resort manager is never on site, I am appalled. The only positive of the resort our the restaurant staff at Las Olas. The reception manager Teresa has tried her best but the senior management will not give any compensation for the lack of service or distress. This is totally unacceptable and there is no care for guests. I would advise anyone to stay elsewhere.

Beautiful, clean, delicious food, great staff. Friendly staff. Love the variety of foods at all meals. We bought the all inclusive package, great choice. Good tequila included. Had cocktails, snacks, met great families during our stay. Love it

Lovely boutique hotel

Such a lovely hotel - staff are so friendly and helpful. Food is incredible and a good amount of choice for a boutique hotel too! Perfect for a relaxed vacation - grounds are beautiful - just make sure you bring bug spray as it’s a little jungle-y!

Great experience, they were very accommodating during hurricane Beryl. Everyone has been so kind and helpful! The property is well maintained as well as the room. The rooms are very nice and we appreciate the tropical feel of the resort. Overall, we would definitely recommend.

Great stay

I've been coming to this resort since 2009 and returned for the 7th time last week. I've traveled all over and it remains my favorite place. The good: 1. We booked a garden room, but got a free upgrade to ocean view 2. The wait staff: they go out of their way to make everything perfect, and this trend has been recurring for 15 years. Manuel exceeded our expectations, he really excels in customer service and such a nice guy! On my friends birthday he set up a special table for her, balloons, and sang. Alberto and Eduardo were amazing. I work in management and would love to have employees like them! 3. There isn't a bad room as the resort is small and all rooms are pretty close to the beach. We were near the restaurant and pool so it did get loud, but not a deal breaker. 4. Half board is a great option. Pina coladas are the best I've ever had. Possible.things to improve: 1. They did away with 2 for 1 happy hour which was really disappointing. 2. On arrival you have to sign pool rules, which state no loud music or speakers. A large group of people showed up at the pool blasting loud, inappropriate music. We, along with many others, complained to the waiters, security, and front desk in person. It took 3 hours to get it turned off. It's almost like they knew someone so they got away with it. 3. Concierge: no follow through. Was told he would contact us with transportation prices and never heard from him. Not overly helpful so we planned things on our own. This was different from prior stays. 4. Front desk/maintenance: lack of follow through/communication when room had water leak. It wasn't a huge deal but front desk staff were not nearly as customer service oriented as wait staff. We just put towels down and dealt with it...never offered a new room. I was told they are under new management and since the resort wasn't full things were scaled down, which may be the reason for some of the changes/miscommunication. Overall....I'd still return tomorrow.
