Great spot small so every room is in a great location. One party/ activity pool the rest are calm depending what your looking for. Breakfast buffet servers were great and Deysi at route 66 was a fantastic server! Our housekeeper was awesome and considerate of our schedule instead of trying to rush us so she could finish. One day I accidentally left money on the table- a tip was also on the bed. All of the money on the table was still there- i know that can be a concern at some resorts but definitely not with this housekeeper I always felt our items were safe Meat was often raw, burgers were extremely soft and undercooked. A ton of raccoons made going out late or watching shows uncomfortable but they seemed to keep away from people Overall a great place

Ok lets start with the positives, room was large, well appointed mini bar, coffee machine, clean, quiet just what you would expect on a holiday. Maid service was excellent. Choice of restaurants for dinner via the hotel App which was good, ok need to book on the day but we visited the ones we wished to do, and no we did not have a butler to help us we just booked it on the App. Evening entertainment outdoors was a bit mixed karaoke, Mexican dancers, silent disco etc, but up in the reception there was also entertainment which was fine. There was also a foam party and DJ near a pool on some evenings. Staff were excellent Antonio at the pool bar always with a smile. We went to the Spa twice was so good, we had Claudia and Ngelly I think her name they were both excellent and listened to where need more pressure etc, you need to go at least once while there. Negatives: Public bathrooms around pools a bit tired and in need of some updating, Spa bathroom also. Raccoons around the resort day and night, one evening 15 in the pool, but biggest issue I felt was the sun beds, one morning we had a tour at 6.30am and most of the beds had either towels, books or flip flops on, on other mornings the same going for breakfast all beds taken and some remained unused for hours, this is not just guests but the dive/tour guys, the lifeguard for guests who had upgraded to the Privilege rooms, this is not a good policy as detrimental to all other guest who also paid good money. Hotel Gift shop and stalls that visit on a Friday are way over priced.

This hotel is majority Canadians and Americans, we found the Americans a little rude and arrogant hence why some of the reviews appear to be 1-2 stars, I wouldn’t let these reviews put you off booking. However we are a family of 6 originally going to Dubai but had to change last minute, we were supposed to be staying on the palm in a Rixos hotel which is quite upscale and premium. We were given this holiday as straight swap at the exact same price and can honestly say it wasn’t worth the money but this is largely due to the 10hrs flights. The hotel itself is probably reasonably priced and a great destination for those closer to Mexico but I wouldn’t pay this much again to go here. The food was good and had lots of variety, never short of options in the buffet. The booking system for the restaurants is such a mess we were there 9 days and only got booked in twice after going to reception not even using the app. Everyone we spoke to experienced the same issue with the booking, spaces are released at 10am to book the same day with the privilege members having priority to book, by the time we were allowed to book spaces disappeared instantly. If you do get a space you can only book up to 4 people so if you are a family of 5 or more you have to go to reception. The food in the restaurants don’t differ from the buffet and are not worth the hassle. We did enjoy the Villa Marina but we had to go to reception to book this. The coffee shop is nice but so busy and not worth the wait. The ice cream parlour is a good edition but opens at 3pm and would be nice to have earlier in the day. We stayed in the daisy suits which were lovely and cleaned/refreshed daily we had no complains about the rooms and bathrooms. The wildlife at the hotel is lovely, the animals are calm and friendly and the workers seem to care and treat them nicely. We went to Xcaret and would definitely recommend! It’s one of a kind and a must do, priced well and the hotel co ordinates. You did have to reserve sun loungers quickly in the AM but where don’t you these days. Overall it was a lovely hotel and beautiful part of the world, as a Brit it’s probably not worth the money largely due to the expensive flights not the hotel. The staff and rooms were great, food was average but I would sum it up with the word accommodating. Don’t bother with the hotel app or restaurants and remember to bring USD for tips ! It’s also quite a casual hotel not much for dress codes, heels and smart attire would definitely stick out a bit.

My family and I travelled to Riviera Maya and stayed at the Ocean Coral and Turquesa from March 11-18. The resort overall was good. Lots of food options, the pools were immaculate, the rooms were clean, and the staff were all very nice and accommodating. However, if you are a person who goes to a resort to enjoy the beach and ocean, this resort is not for you. There was only what I can describe as endless amounts of seaweed in the water and along the shoreline. To be fair the resort used tractors to try and clean up the beach but it was overwhelming and within a short period of time the seaweed had re-accumulated. I realize that this phenomenon is not the fault of the hotel but if you are a person/family that enjoys the beach, you will be disappointed. Bottom line: if you are going to this resort for the food, pools, and service, you will be satisfied. However, if you are someone who enjoys the beach and ocean, I would suggest avoiding this resort/region as you will be massively disappointed.

Blue Moon - Juan started our enjoyment with a great sense of humor, professional and so much fun. Our server’s Ricardo and Elejandro did such good service and everything was top notch. We look forward to coming back. You guys are amazing!! Our butler Elizabeth and Jose and Javier at the ElBeso pool were 12 out 10. We will definitely return.
