Great venue. Rooms large, clean and efficiently laid out. Great lobby bar and bar on high floor with great views (they just closed too early). Staff from check in through stay pleasant and helpful. The texting feature made make requests very easy. Also great location, lot of nearby amenities within walking distance.

Very nice hotel, the view was amazing, it's right where all the action is, and the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. I got to watch the sun rise from the 30th floor. While we were only staying a night, it was nice to get away and enjoy my home in San Diego like everyone else does, if even for a little while.

Great hotel, dedicated floor elevators were very efficient making it easy to run to my room during conference breaks. Appreciated the variety options at the gift shop as well, was able to get OTC medications needed and gifts for my kids. The proximity and access to the airport was a nice addition.

Recently stayed here for a conference. Overall, this hotel is quite large, very nicely designed and built, and has a high qualilty feel. The location is excellent if you want to be downtown and for a conference it's a pretty solid choice. Pros: - they have smart elevators now, which are noticeably faster and more efficient than they were previously - staying on a high floor is more of a perk because of this - beds are comfortable, room views are amazing (when ocean facing) and a nice size with usual creatue comforts - wifi speed in the room was good, and included - the Landing bar is nice and easily accessible Cons: - I had to move rooms because of plumbing issues - the drains in the sink and shower weren't working; but the new room had the same problem, so likely a bigger issue - another reason I moved rooms is because the heat wasn't working in the first room (it was in the 40's at night); had the same issue in the second room, so... I have a feeling the hotel's infrastructure is aging. Note: maintenance was responsive and came to fix it the second time, which helped... kinda - EXPENSIVE - while the room rate wasn't bad at all, everything you touch in that hotel is marked up about 300%. E.g., the Market 1 cafe / store in the lobby is to be avoided at all costs... I got in late and was starving and bought a terrible reheated sandwich for $20. Tried to sell me a Seltzer for $7 (nope). Even the drinks at the conference events were outrageous - $13 for a Coors light, for example. Just insultingly expensive everywhere you looked - Top of the Hyatt - see "expensive". Somehow managed to spend well over $130 there having casual drinks with coworkers. I also had a bad experience with the service - waitress brought the wrong drink, then gave me a hard time about it when I politely requested the proper one. Skip this place altogether, the views are nice but it feels dated, and the price and service simply aren't worth it.

Bed was old and uncomfortable, mirror had peeling reflective material, hard water deposits on showerhead were akin to barnacles. Found long, NOT MINE, hair and toenail clippings in the bathroom. That being said Staff was awesome, Views were beautiful, and the location is PRIME. I just don't think the expense was worth an uncomfortable bed and a few 'ick' items I mentioned above.
