Terrible experience with the front desk. I stayed at the hotel for a week, and unfortunately, every day was the same experience. All of the women we interacted with at the front desk seemed to be in a bad mood, were unwilling to help, and made little to no effort to make guests feel welcome. Customer service is a huge part of the hotel experience, and after a full week of consistently negative interactions, it left a very disappointing impression. Because of the service we received at the front desk, I would not return.

Mildew ?? After staying here in 2017 I was ecstatic to bring our close couple friends back to celebrate my husband’s birthday- what a mistake! While the night life and drinks at the bar are worth a visit - (LOVED the Bar and Pool Staff!!) the rooms are run down and have bad Mildew smell! We cut our trip short because my sinuses could not stay another day as I and the other couple could not take one more night of smelling what could be mold!! Book somewhere else and visit the bar and enjoy your trip without having health issues. Fairmont - do better!!

I stayed here just four months ago, and the wear and tear throughout the property is now impossible to ignore. This was once a premier hotel, but even the rug at check-in looks neglected. It's disappointing because some staff members are fantastic, but the condition of the hotel simply doesn't match the rates being charged.

We keep enjoying coming to El San Juan Hotel, where everywhere we go we enjoy, people are very attentive and either in the Lobby, or Chico Canarte you can listen to great music (DJ JAV), dance with lovely bands (America Quesada, Midnight Band, Cubanísimos), go to the Beach Club and have great food (attended by people like Odalys who always serves you excellent!)…etc.! Go and have a great time!
