Just got home from a week that we’ll never forget. Halcyon Beach is absolutely beautiful. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating from the moment you arrive until you leave. Have to give a few shout outs: Dyllan entertained us all week and actually scouts you out to tell you what’s happening. Jay the DJ and Jeaneve also provided so much entertainment and are so personable. Sassy Sam’s name says it all! Princess Diane took such good care of us and always wore a huge smile and Lenard filled in on her days off. Avelon made sure our drinks were full and Jermaine pushed us hard in water aerobics. There were so many others who added to the wonderful atmosphere and all the employees work so hard to keep the grounds beautiful and the rooms cleaned and stocked with everything you need. We visited the Grande and La Toc which were both nice but couldn’t wait to get back to Halcyon. Do yourself a favor and don’t look ahead to the weather (maybe just the temp). It did not look great when we were heading there so we were really worried. The Caribbean Gods take care of it. Trust in it. It rains for a few minutes but then clears up. And it always seems to happen just when it’s needed. We were a little worried about the food based on some Facebook comments but our meals were great. Kimono’s was so much fun and food was great. Soy has delicious sushi but only 10 seats. So get there when they open and try the mango sorbet dessert. Amazing! Bayside, Kelly’s, the Bistro, and room service were also really good!

We stayed at Halcyon Beach for the 2nd time, 8th Sandals trip in a WBT room. The club level room was located in the Marigot building. The beach proximity is amazing! This resort is older,but we love the peaceful vibe and the beach chairs are spaced out more than most places. Everyone of the employees we met were very friendly. They truly seemed to care about our opinions about the resort. The St. Lucia Helicopter transfer with the Fun To See water taxi transfer back were great experiences. We also enjoyed the Island Routes Powerboat and power snorkel excursion. Great snorkeling and beautiful views of the island. I highly recommend a full wet suit because there were tiny jellyfish biting people. Since the Halcyon is located in the middle, it was easy to spend the day at the 2. We had a great time at a beach cabana at the Grande and I loved snorkeling from the beach. They provided a room for 30 minutes so that we could get changed for dinner at Gordan's. Dinner was great, but it was very windy. At La Toc, we had lunch at Neptune's, enjoying the beach view. We explored the resort and swam in both main pools. Dinner at The Pitons was very good, then we stayed for the entertainment. It was more difficult to change there. I had a quick shower in the bathroom near the Pitons pool. Bring your own towel and supplies. So many people to thank. The concierge, Dalia checked us in quickly upon our arrival, making all of our dinner and the cabana reservations. Ross took great pictures(for us) and he was very patient. Special shout out to Destiny for her warm greetings. Vanessa and Celine gave us a wonderful couples massage. Anna at Kelly's was friendly and gave us very good service. The omelettes at Bayside were incredible and we always enjoyed the numerous friendly servers. Madonna kept the room clean and we appreciated the drink service on the beach. It was a great vacation again. Halcyon Beach needs some TLC, but it is a beautiful, peaceful place. There will be a coffee shop in the near future, a needed addition. If I return to St. Lucia, I would stay there again. La Toc is too hilly and he beach is rough. The Grande was too busy for us with a crowded pool and cluttered beach. Fun for day trips.

We took our honeymoon to Sandals Halcyon. Three things stuck out to me at Halcyon that made our stay absolutely worth-while: 1. The food. Sandals Halcyon pleasantly surprised me with the quality of ingredients (such as their raw seafood and local produce) as well as the flavors, presentation, and textures of each dish. It was evident that each option on menus was carefully curated to have a perfect balance of sweet, umami, acidic, bitter, and salt. This was definitely our highlight at each and every restaurant. I’d like to specifically highlight Soy, the sushi bar, as their fish selections and ingredients were absolutely top notch. Additionally, for foodies and chefs, Kelly’s was a very fun time; allowing us to curate our own dishes in a way that can pretty much never fail to taste good is a fun touch. 2. The people. I’d like to mention a few people who made our stay memorable by name. With the entertainment crew, Jean Eve, Sam, and Boozie were incredible. After getting to know them near the end of our trip, I wish we would’ve spent more time at activities and interacting with them as they were incredible. We especially enjoyed the poolside activities, the mixology course, and pool volleyball. At the bar, we loved Michelina and Santiago. They were both incredible and super friendly, offering up a smile and service every time. As for service in the restaurants, we especially appreciated Jyan and Deloris. Jyan’s service was INCREDIBLE and he was attentive and knowledgeable to every detail. Deloris was such a blessing and anytime we dined with her it was a joy. 3. The coffee. My goodness the espresso and coffee here were absolutely incredible. Sitting at home writing this review, I miss my morning double shot espresso. Over Halcyon was a great place to stay, and if/when we return, I look forward to focusing more on getting to know the food, culture, and people of St Lucia, with Sandals as our home away from home.

My wife and I went on our honeymoon to Sandals Halycon and had an amazing experience. We were drawn to Halcyon specifically because of the quiet boutique nature and it really delivered. We spent most of our time at the paradise pool and the “lazy river” and do not regret it at all. Our butlers Pluta, Samantha, and Vito were exceptional and always ensured we had a drink in our hand, food when we were hungry, dinner reservations at places that suited my picky wife (which is hard to do), and did so with a smile on their faces. We will recommend this resort to anyone who asks!

Service in a place can often be defined by when things go wrong. We arrived after a long trip and the room we were given had a faulty bathroom. We had to move and then be rehoused the next day which was a bind after a long trip. However, Venecia and her colleagues took control of the situation and totally recovered things. We were given compensation for the night we missed and were then upgraded later in our trip to a fantastic butler suite and given a private transfer to airport. They could not have done more and for that we thank them. This was our third trip to Sandals in St Lucia and first to Halcyon having been to the other two. First impressions were it was similar to La Toc but a bit of a downgrade to the Grande. However, Halycon really won us over. The rooms are not as modern as others but are really well placed especially by the walkout lazy river. The service is excellent and much more personal than the other resorts. The food is fine - Italian and Indian at the Grande are a miss but you can get a 25 minute bus trip and visit them. We loved the place and would return - a massive thanks to every member of staff we met and especially to Venecia and others at the front desk - your personal touch and genuine support to my wife and I was outstanding - hopefully see you all next year ??????
