An outline of our thoughts after our 9 day stay at the resort: POSITIVES: 1) The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. Everyone was fabulous. 2) Resort staff does a great job keeping everything VERY clean. Rooms, common areas, bars, etc. They get an A+. Best we have seen at any Sandals resorts (we have 160 nights). 3) Pool water condition was great. Perhaps best I have seen. 4) It is a smaller resort for those that like more of a community feel. 5) Entertainment was great. The Michael Jackson show was absolutely fabulous! 6) All the bars made high quality drinks. Better than most of the Sandals resorts we visited in the past. 7) Took the tour to a chocolate factory and also to a rum distiller. Excellent! NEGATIVES: 1) As the resort is smaller than most, restaurant choices are limited. Felt restrictive for our 9 days stay. Although you can visit 2 other nearby Sandals resorts, provided transportation between the other resorts is unreliable. We missed our dinner at nearby LaToc due to the shuttle being tied up in traffic. We gave up. They still run the shuttle on a "covid" schedule, which does not make sense. A big negative. 2) The resort was a long distance from the airport. It took us 2 hours through heavy traffic. 3) We wished more restaurant choices were available on the resort property as access to restaurants at the other resorts were difficult to get to. Consumes too much of the day to get around. 4) We had a "Club" level room which really did not provide much value for anything. You need to act very quickly to get poolside chairs and dinner reservations before the Butlers reserve everything. The resort staff was absolutely fabulous, friendly and effective in their roles in all areas of the resort. We are glad we visited this facility one time but will not likely return. We generally stay at each resort for more than a week and like to see more choices for restaurants, and easier access to the airport. But we are glad we made one visit to the island and the Halcyon resort.
New years vacation

The resort is beautiful. The food was awesome. The staff are very friendly and made sure we had an awesome time. We went for New Years Eve my wife’s 60th birthday and they made her feel so special. The party and atmosphere was fantastic, great food, entertainment and fire work display. My wife had a massage with Celine and she did great job. A wonderful experience, hated leaving.
