We just returned from a wonderful trip here. It's not a massive resort so access to the 5 restaurants, pool, beach and gym was easy. We never had a problem getting lounge chairs or dinner reservations. The resort was well run and clean. The rooms were cleaned every day with turndown at night and the beds were very comfortable. What put this resort over the top for us was the staff. Extremely attentive and never met one without a smile and the desire to help. Management was accessible and made sure our stay met our expectations. Many people have been here for 15, 20, some, 30 years - because they like what they do and it shows. My wife has severe food sensitivities and food Management made this trip a success for us. Many, many thanks to Mimi, Bruno and Melinda for watching over meal prep for my wife. Margarita did a great job in keeping all of us entertained and led hikes through the mountains every morning. And Naline was always my first smile and bon jour of the day at the Coco Cafe. They are planning on renovations and upgraded landscaping starting April. We are looking forward to our visit again next winter.
Average but still a great place!

My husband and I traveled to St. Martin for our honeymoon. We stayed at Secrets and had a wonderful time and met some really amazing people! We stayed in a swim up room with preferred access.
Pros: Beautiful Scenery; Some of the Staff (especially Melinda and Yvon); not super packed; private location; walk out to a beautiful small beach; pool is large; can always get a chair; relaxing music by the pool; foam party and live relaxing music in the evenings at the lobby bar; big liquor selection.
Cons: Room smelled of mold/mildew pretty bad; our shower did not work fully so it made it difficult to shower; not much entertainment in the evenings (as in a show); some things need to be updated/upgraded/or remodeled; beer selection changed a lot and mainly only had coors light.
Advice: if you want a secluded quiet vacation, I would highly recommend this place. It was perfect to sit back and relax and just take in the scenery. If you are a picky eater, you may be limited to options. Service may be slow at the restaurants during busy times but the service was always above and beyond. If you are looking to go out a lot, plan on spending about $80 round trip to get to those areas. We would recommend taking the Boomerang excursions to the islands, so much fun and amazing people! Preferred club does not have many perks and we did not see anyone using the swim-up rooms, including us.
We loved the French side of the island, the scenery, and had a wonderful time even with some of the cons.
Should be called a SECRETS!

We are UVC Members and stayed at Secrets for New Years. It was clean but should not have the Secrets name on it. We felt like we overpaid a lot to stay there with no benefits of being a UVC Member. Our room was OK and little beat up. The food was average at best and the Asian restaurant was horrible. They did not have much of selection of food and the top shelf booze was always running out. I heard from 2 or 3 employees that they have to wait until Tuesday's delivery to come in. The service was ok. The pool scene was boring with a mediocre JBL boom box as a sound system. No real entertainment at all the whole weekend. I will not be going back.
Not up to par with other Secrets or Sandals level properties. The resort is level below high mid level all inclusive.

I have been to many Secrets and Sandals properties. The resort is small and not much selection in food options. The preferred club is a waste of money with virtually no benefits like the other secrets. If you booked it already it is nice enough, if not choose another Secrets property or all inclusive.
Don't believe the bad reviews...

We were a little worried about spending a week here, after reading some negative reviews which said "it's not worthy to be a "Secrets"....yes they have a few things they need to work on but overall it was a lovely resort. For a bit of history, the resort has changed hands about 5 times - AMResorts purchased it from Riu in 2017 (after it was destroyed by Hurricane Irma). They stated repairing & renovating to turn it into a Secrets, then well you know "COVID" and an Island Labour dispute happened. I watched some progress of rebuilding/repairing (bit by bit) while I was there. The grounds are well taken care of, and the pool is beautiful. The beach is second to none - very little seaweed...and no beach vendors. It's a beautiful, peaceful bay, nice sand to walk from end to end. They hot tub was not operating when we're there (apparently waiting for a part for over a month). Our room was lovely, newly renovated, very clean. The housekeeping staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was cleaned regularly every morning. (There is no "turn down" service - this is not a big deal for us.) The mini bar was re-stocked daily. Every restaurant we went to (all of them) had excellent service, and excellent food. Absolutely no complaints. People were complaining that there were only two restaurants open each night - how many restaurants can you eat at in one evening? They alternated to different restaurants every night, so it's not a problem. Would we go back - Absolutely. Note this is a very quiet resort. There are no nightly shows like other Secrets. There is musical entertainment in the lobby every night from 8pm-10pm, which was always different....so a nice variety. So if you want to go somewhere to relax - this is the place!
