Excellent hospatility and relaxing vibes
ReneeF325 (Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands) on Jan 29, 2023
My husband and I had a wonderful stay here. While the property could use some improvements (I noticed consistent maintenance during out stay so they're working on it!), the real highlight was the staff. We felt so welcome, pampered, and could tell that everyone there was genuinely interested in us having a great experience. Patricio, Elicia (Everyone at the Rendezvous bar), Hector, Brenton, Constant, Jahmeisha, Jerry, Claudius, and so many others were absolutely amazing. I am terrible with names, but I couldn’t help remember quite a few because they made such a great impression. The food was excellent across the board and I even scared the hell out of a manager at Marketplace when I stopped to tell her how amazing the lamb was! Sorry, Friend! That dish will be in my dreams. The overall feeling is one of relaxion, warmth, and positivity. The way we were greeted from the time we walked in to a causal passing in the courtyard was second to none. The positivity extended to the guests and everyone was in a great mood. There is a little to be desired with amenities (hot tub out of commission) but this did not detract from our overall experience. Everything else was so great that I hardly noticed. At one point, the battery died in our room lock. The gentleman handling the minibar service was nearby and made sure he got someone to there to fix it right away. It was handled promptly, efficiently, and we had a lovely drink at the bar while we waited. If I had to complain about anything, it is the absence of an ATM and the ability to access cash/change. You need cash on this island for some of the shops I truly wanted to tip more because of the service we received. The other issue I had was with other guests who were lacking patience or manners. It wasn’t common, but I had to fight the urge to correct them like they were my kids a few times. You’re in paradise, Chill Out! The landscape crew did a great job with maintaining the grounds and I truly enjoyed the variety of plants and critters. Make sure you watch for the hummingbirds!! The views in the cove are incredible and be sure to spend time in the Nature Reserve that is right next to the resort. We hiked to a beautiful secluded beech and enjoyed every moment of it. I’ll also caution you to ensure that cab drivers give you a rate BEFORE they take you anywhere. I found it to be a bit expensive and would have preferred to rent a car had I planned ahead. Try not to mind the nit-pick criticisms of this place and embrace the island vibes. You won’t regret it.
Perfect place for a winter getaway

We just returned from a wonderful trip here. It's not a massive resort so access to the 5 restaurants, pool, beach and gym was easy. We never had a problem getting lounge chairs or dinner reservations. The resort was well run and clean. The rooms were cleaned every day with turndown at night and the beds were very comfortable. What put this resort over the top for us was the staff. Extremely attentive and never met one without a smile and the desire to help. Management was accessible and made sure our stay met our expectations. Many people have been here for 15, 20, some, 30 years - because they like what they do and it shows. My wife has severe food sensitivities and food Management made this trip a success for us. Many, many thanks to Mimi, Bruno and Melinda for watching over meal prep for my wife. Margarita did a great job in keeping all of us entertained and led hikes through the mountains every morning. And Naline was always my first smile and bon jour of the day at the Coco Cafe. They are planning on renovations and upgraded landscaping starting April. We are looking forward to our visit again next winter.
