Relaxing Beach getaway

anthony P (Nassau, New York) on May 14, 2024

Blue haven is the best resort. It is very quiet and peaceful. You get the small resort experience where everyone knows who you are the entire trip. The rooms are very spacious and bathrooms are large. The beach and pool are a very short walk from the room. We had our older parents with us and they loved how close everything was with the very limited stairs or steps to encounter. The food is great. There is plenty to choose from on each menu so even with limited options in terms of restaurant, you could eat something different each day and be happy. The fish tacos at lunch were a huge hit and the mint/pea risotto was cooked to perfection at dinner. The servers and cooks are all friendly. Jerald made a great omelet for breakfast. Natalee, Janet and Damian kept our drinks and food flowing during the day with Marsha cooking it up with a smile. At night Michael was the best and Gaelle is one of the most attentive waitresses I've ever met. Micah was the man at the watersports. We did the clear Kayak tour with John as our guide and he was amazing, highly recommend it leaves right from the beach. L'Tange set up a private boat for us and was very helpful. But most important were the managers Shaneka and Francisco who were always ready to help out. They took care of any of our concerns and went above and beyond to make the trip memorable. I would highly recommend this resort.

Very relaxing vacation!!

This place was beautiful. Probably the cleanest and friendliest resort I have ever stayed at. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Shaneka was wonderful checking us in. Janet, Damien, Micah, and Winchel were also fantastic in the restaurants and pool area. Look for these people when you go!! There are two main restaurants on site. Both were really good. The pool was always clean and they had something fun going on for a few hours every day. One thing I wish was they would have had a few benches around for people to sit on. They have a gazebo on property that sits on the water. It was hard to enjoy it for any length of time because there was no place to sit. It would have been nice to sit there and watch the sun rise. We also booked our excursions before we got to the resort only to learn we could have booked them directly through the resort. Seems like their prices were cheaper than what we paid using an outside vendor.
