Robaina Cigar Bar

Enjoy the peace, the quality and the classiness of this place, with the company of Roger, one of the best in the business and has immense knowledge about cigars and history ... You can not pass to Cuba and not visit this bar and be served by Togers if you are a Cigar connoisseur or hobbies. Worth every moment.

Absolute worst. Do NOT stay here!

Skytraveler17 on Jun 09, 2022

Where do I even begin? I was told by a friend that this was a great place to stay, so when I saw a great deal, I jumped on it. Boy was that a mistake! I travel a lot. It’s my job. I’ve stayed in some not so great hotels before. But nothing came anywhere close to Brisas Del Caribe. Nothing. Although we had confirmed flights coming back, we actually looked at a few airlines we have discounts on to pay extra to fly back standby on the second day of our week-long stay. Unfortunately, there were no flights until our confirmed flights back. We got in late at night, just in time for the end of the dinner buffet, which, had it not been for some friends, we would have missed as we had no one at the resort to give us a tour and explain how things worked. We were left on our own. Reservations for restaurants open Monday mornings. For the whole week. So if you arrive at the resort Monday afternoon, too bad, you get nothing as it fills out really quick. The food was absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't even feed that stuff to my pets! Flies everywhere. We had to keep one person at the table at all times if any food was left there to be the fly guardian otherwise it would get covered. The second night there also managed to get a long, smeared trail of what looked and smelled like feces, right next to our table. A certain demographic, which unfortunately was the majority demographic, had absolutely no manners, would skip lines, grab you and move you out of their way, GRAB FOOD FROM YOUR PLATE WITH THEIR BARE HANDS, not respect your request for social distancing, and would instead laugh in your face. I was groped while in line for the slop, I mean food, to get me to move out of their way. When I brought it up to the attention of the manager and demanded restaurant reservations, they made it seem like they were doing me a favor, trying to squeeze us in. This happened on the second day of 6 days total. So for the rest of the trip, I did not feel safe going to the buffet and my only meal of the day would be at the restaurants where we got booked. I managed to lose weight on this trip. At an all-inclusive resort. The food off the resort was, thankfully, amazing. The resort itself is in need of major renovations. Everything is old and tired and falling apart. One night, we had the bathroom door handle just fall off. My bed had holes in the mattress with springs sticking out. Talk about a real pain in the you know what! No, really. It poked me in the rear end all night that first night! After complaining about the state of the room, we managed to get switched to a different room in a different area of the resort. Thankfully no poking, but the mattresses were terrible and I had to get up a few times a night, every night because my back was hurting so much. Honestly, the only good thing about this resort is the beach. And even then, with that certain demographic that has unfortunately seemed to have taken over the resort, you still need to be careful. I absolutely completely regret going on this trip, it was nothing but a nightmare and I did not feel safe and was not able to relax at all. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone and will never return. I feel bad for the staff having to deal with those people all the time.
