Meet 2021 President’s Award winner, Dan Neal
24-year WestJetter, Dan Neal, WestJet Risk and Privacy Specialist, IT is one of 16 President’s Award winners from 2021. As one of the longest standing WestJetters, Dan never fails to go above and beyond for everyone in WestJet’s world, all while maintaining a positive attitude. Throughout the pandemic, Dan worked as a one-man team, to provide critical IT services to WestJet and our guests and did so with a positive attitude that never wavered.
We sat down with Dan to ask him a few questions about WestJet and what being a President’s Award winner means to him:
Describe WestJet in three words.
Feels like home
What is one thing you want to share with our guests?
All the people, effort and dedication that goes into getting them to their destinations.
What does win a WestJet Group Award mean to you?
Getting recognized for your effort is always appreciated, especially when paired with all the kind words from my fellow WestJetters.
What Dan’s leader had to say:
“Dan is one of the longest running WestJetters, and despite being eminently qualified to go work wherever he wants, he has chosen to stay and help with our recovery. His inherent value goes beyond the operationally critical service he provides for WestJet and is rooted to his people first attitude. Dan is always focused on what he calls the JSR, or Job Satisfaction Rate. He wants to make sure that everyone he works with has a high JSR and will always take the time with people to make sure he addresses the human concerns before getting into the technical work,” said Aaron Ferguson, WestJet, Senior Manager, Government Risk and Compliance.
