    Bright, Cheery Doo-wop

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this bright and cheery retro doo-wop hotel. We used it as a base for two days at Universal theme parks and three at Disney, about 15 minutes away. The food court, while not spectacular, was more than serviceable for breakfast and late dinners. Nicely sized rooms with comfy beds and too-stiff pillows. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a change of pace from the Disney scene.

Nice but could have been nicer! Small room, floors in hallways and room not clean. Asked for a quiet room with a view and it was quiet however it was so far away from the amenities of the hotel and the view was of the parking lots!

    Great Family Resort

Very nice resort with a lot of rooms and great room options for families of 4 or more. Stayed in a family suite and it’s perfect for 4, and can sleep more with the sofa bed. The closet is small but there’s plenty of drawers for storage. Really like the mini fridge and microwave. I saw the larger 2 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms and think it’s a roomy option for families that want more space or traveling with a party of 6. The decor is purposely retro. Good lighting and lots of plugs and USB ports for charging electronics. Great pools and outdoor entertainment spaces, as well as a game room and bowling alley indoors (additional fees apply for game room and bowling alley). Guest services was friendly. Automatic checkout is convenient. This is not a full service resort, so expect to carry your own bags to your room and self serve your meals in the dining hall. No concierge or butlers here! Limited room service options are available. Food was average, not 5-star dining, but appropriate for quick meals. Some guests experienced technical difficulties like the door locks needing to be changed or requiring new batteries, but maintenance seemed to be attentive. Overall, a great budget-friendly Universal Resort with easy access to Universal Parks and early park admission benefits. Oh yeah, you can walk to Volcano Bay, so that’s cool and convenient, it’s literally next door. Some rooms have Volcano Bay Views, and it’s nice!

Great experience, we will always look at Cabana Bay when returning to Orlando. It was cold and I would recommend outside heaters surrounding the pool. We did not experience as many poolside activities this trip as we did our previous stays at Cabana Bay

First time staying here and we were not disappointed. We normally stay at royal Pacific to get free Express passes but wanted to save a little money and parks were not busy. The rooms are nice nothing special. Good decor. The pool areas are really nice. Also the bayliner diner has a good selection of food. Like how it is laid out and how all the seating and drink refills are laid out. We never had to wait on a bus to the parks. That was extremely nice. One time we did ride the boat back to sapphire falls then walk over but that took way longer. The buses are much quicker. Nothing I can say bad about the place. The price was great and we had an awesome time.
